4차 산업혁명의 관점으로 본 미술교육 전망

국문 초록

본 연구는 4차 산업혁명의 관점에서 미술교육의 의미를 탐색하고 교육현장과 연계하여 그 활용 가능성을 전망하는데 의의가 있다. 최근 화두가 되고 있는 4차 산업혁명은 사회, 문화 전반에 걸쳐 변화의 모멘텀을 요구하고 있고, 미술교육에서도 이제 문화콘텐츠기술 차원에서 4차 산업혁명 시대의 미술교육에 관하여 논의할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 4차 산업혁명과 문화예술, 미래교육의 측면에서 미술교육을 고찰하고, 4차 산업혁명의 관점에서 미술교육의 의미를 ‘인문학적 상상력과 디지털 기술의 융합’, ‘가상과 현실의 경계, 새로운 인터페이스’, ‘창의적 융복합 트랜드와 연계한 미술교육’으로 설정하여 논하였다. 아울러 연구자의 지도학생들을 대상으로 VR, AR, 3D 프린팅,인공지능, 3D 홀로그램, 미디어 파사드 등 첨단 테크놀로지의 체험을 통한 학습과정을 모니터링하고, 4차 산업혁명의 관점에서 미술교육과의 접점을 탐색하였다. 그 결과 미술교수-학습 영역의 확장 측면에서 새로운 가능성을 열어주고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 디지털 시대 미술교육의 연장선에서 4차 산업혁명의 관점을 반영하여 유의미한 시사점을 제공하고 있어 향후 미술-교수학습 과정에 실제적인 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to discuss the meaning of art education in the fourth industrial era and to explore the applicability of the fourth industrial revolution to art education. The fourth industrial revolution, one of the top trending topics, requires to change in every aspect of our lives including society and culture. Therefore, it is needed to discuss art education in the fourth industrial revolution era from the perspective of Culture Technology. First, this study deals with the meaning of art education from the perspective of the fourth industrial revolution, cultural art, and the future of education. In this study, the art education in the fourth industrial revolution era is defined as ‘a convergence of humanistic imagination and digital technology’, ‘the new interface: the boundary between reality and virtuality’ and ‘art education connected with creative convergent trend.’ Based on the definition, the meaning of art education is discussed. Then, high school students who engaged in cutting-edge technologies such as VR, AR, 3D printing, Artificial Intelligence, 3D Hologram, and Media-Facade were observed throughout their learning process. From the observation, the applicability of the fourth industrial education to art education is discussed. It is likely that there is potential to expand the art education method by employing the fourth industrial revolution.
