국문 초록

본 연구는 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 교육과정의 주요 변화 사안들을 중심으로 교원들의 인식과 교육과정 편성 운영의 실태 분석을 통해 2009 개정 고등학교 교육과정이 추구하는 바가 단위학교에서 안착되기 위한 정책 제언을 도출하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 2009 개정 교육과정에 대한 현장 교원들의 인식 및 요구 분석을 위한 설문 조사와 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 3개년의 교육과정 편성안을 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 2009 개정 교육과정이 그 개정 취지에 부합하여 현장에서 실현되기 위해서는 1) 진로 집중 과정과 대학 입시와의 연계를 통한 실효성 제고, 2) 읍면지역 및 소규모 학교에 대한 교육과정 역량 제고, 3) 학교를 넘어선 학습자의 교육과정 특성화를 위한 체계적인 진로 지도, 4) 교육과정 자율권의 차이에서 오는 학교의 교육력 격차 방지, 5) 교육과정 자율화 정책과 학생들의 전인적 발달 사이의 괴리를 해소할 수 있는 현실적 대안 마련 등을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is to make some meaningful suggestions for the effective implementation of the 2009 Revised High School Curriculum through analyzing its present practice. This study uses the two following research method. Firstly, it conducts surveys on about 1,080 high school teachers nation-wide to collect data on the perceptions and needs concerned with the 2009 Revised High School Curriculum. Secondly, it analyzes the organization and time-allocation tables for the 1st-grade students of general high school in 2011, which is the first year of the implementation of 2009 Revised High School Curriculum. The number of the organization and time-allocation tables collected for this analysis is 181, which is estimated at 12.4% of the nation s total general high schools. Based on the results of research, this study suggests the following strategies for the effective implementation of the 2009 Revised High School Curriculum; 1) guaranteeing the articulation between pathway-focused course and university entrance examination system, 2) enhancing teachers competence for curriculum development in small-sized high school, 3) strengthening career and pathway education for the curriculum tailored to each student s need and aptitude, 4) lessening the educational ability gap among high schools due to the policy for the curriculum autonomy, 5) establishing practical ways for securing all-round education for the general high school students.
