저수준 제품모형의 사용자 평가를 통한 우산건조기 개발방향

국문 초록

비닐사용에 따른 증가하는 환경적 폐해에 대한 문제인식에서 본 연구는 우산비닐포장기를 대체 할 우산건조기의 우산건조유형별 사용자조사를 통한 제품개발의 효과적 방향 제안에 목적을 둔다. 이 같은 목적에서 우산건조기 시장의 현황조사와 우산비닐포장기에 대한 인식을 파악하기 위한 설문조사와 함께 대표적 우산 건조방식 유형별 효과를 제품모형에 대한 사용자 실험을 실시했다. 국내외 시장조사 결과에 따르면 우산건조기 시장은 매우 제한적인 제품으로 구성되는 반면 건조 방식은 여러 유형(회전형, 송풍형, 닦음형)이 함께 존재하고 있어, 제품개발의 초기단계임을 알 수 있다. 제한적인 정보를 바탕으로 제품개발의 모호성을 극복해야 하는 개발 초기단계에서 사용자 관여, 사용자 참여 등을 통한 사용자 정보는 중요한 자원이며 모형의 활용은 의견교환, 탐색과 개선, 아이디어 평가를 위한 효과적 도구이다. 이 같은 배경에서 20명의 사용자경험 전문가를 대상으로 우산비닐포장기에 대한 인식을 알아보기 위한 설문조사, 우산건조기의 3개 건조유형을 중심으로 한 저수준 모델에 대한 사용자 평가를 실시했다. 우산비닐포장기에 대한 설문조사 결과, 만연한 사용에도 불구하고 높지 않은 편의성, 낮은 환경 기여도 등 여러 불만요소가 조사됨에 따라 우산건조기 개발의 필요성을 재차 확인할 수 있었다. 한편 우산건조방식별 모형에 대한 평가실험에서는 건조효용성의 측면에서 건조유 형간 차이가 나타나지 않았지만, 체감소요시간, 사용편의성, 개념-기능 일치성, 전반적 선호도에서는 송풍형이 다른 유형 보다 높게 나타났다. 이 같은 결과는 건조 기의 기능적 효용성에서 차이가 없는 경우, 사용자의 지각된 효용성을 통해 사용성을 제고할 수 있음을 보여주며 풍력강화 등의 성능개선을 전제로 송풍형 모델의 개발을 우선적으로 고려할 수 있다.

영문 초록

As recognizing harmful consequences from using plastic bags are increasing, this study aims at withdrawing a development direction of umbrella dryers in the fuzzy front end(FFE) but possibly replacing umbrella plastic bag dispensers. To approach the goal, market research and a user test of umbrella dryer prototypes accompanying user research on umbrella bag dispensers were carried out. From market research, it was found that the umbrella dryer market consisted of small number of products while the type of their drying function was classified under three heads, spinning-around, blowing-off, and swiping-off. It means they are at the very early stage of new product development requiring various decision making with limited information. Considering at the FFE stage, user involvement is critical to settle its initial difficulties and prototypes tests perform a role to communicate opinions, and explore and evaluate ideas, a user survey on umbrella bag pavers and a user test on three low fidelity but providing real-time drying functions prototypes of umbrella dryers were conducted with 20 UX designers. User research on umbrella plastic bag dispensers and user test of the three umbrella dryer prototypes were conducted. Found from the research of user perception of the dispenser, the score not much high on easy use and the relatively low score on contribution to environment bolster development of alternatives to the dispenser. The results of the user test with three low fidelity prototypes are summarized as follows; even though in perceived effectiveness of performance, there are no difference, in perceived length of time to completion, perceived ease of use, product concept consistency and overall preference, the blowing-off type is chosen as the winner. Integrating the results, it can be suggested that a blowing-off type dryer with enhancing performance would be effective.
