비디자인 전공자 교육을 위한 디자인의 원리‘균형’의 적용

국문 초록

본 연구는 공과대학 학생들(또는 비 디자인 전공 개발자, 예를 들어 마케팅 기획자)을 중심으로 효과적인 상품 디자인 수행 방법을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히 로봇과 사물인터넷제품을 연구하는 공과대학생들에게 디자인 감각을 수용하게 하는 방법을 연구할 필요가 있다. 따라서 이 연구는 디자인의 기본 원리를 개념적으로만 강의하지 않고 실습을 통하여 이해력을 높일 수 있는 효과적인 방법을 찾고자 하였다. 디자인을 전공하지 않는 학생들로 하여금 디자인의 가장 기본이 되는 균형의 원리를 이해하는 방안을 제시하였다. 그리고 형태 구성 연습의 실질적인 수행을 위해 디자인 원리 학습, 기하학적 다각형 연습, 그리고 상품 디자인의 실행단계로 구분하고 각 단계를 연결하는 방법을 제시하였다. 그 결과 대칭균형 및 비대칭균형의 원리가 형태구성에 필요한 요인으로 작용하였다. 또한 기하학의 다면체가 형태 구현학습에 직접적으로 긍정적인 영향을 끼친다는 것을 파악했다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 대칭균형을 적용한 상품설계가 학생들의 디자인역량에 좋은 성과로 나타나는 것을 알 수 있었다. 연구 내용이 공학과 연계한 디자인교육 뿐 만 아니라 제조에 바탕을 둔 개발 관계자들을 위한 융합교육콘텐츠 활성화에 기반 역할을 하기 기대한다.

영문 초록

This Study aims to develop effective product design skills for University engineering students(or non design studies, for example, marketing students). The engineering students need a design sense for their works, especially development of robots and IoT(internet of things)products. This study developed the effective method on teaching basic design principle through practices not just teaching the concepts and the theories. The contents guide non design major learners understand about balance, what is one of the most basic design principle. And for the substantial performance of form making, I classified into three categories, understanding design principles, form study of geometrical polygons, developing product design, and proposed plan to link the major programs by stage. The results indicate that the symmetrical and asymmetrical balance affect making form as positive variables. This study also shows that the polygon of geometry has a positively direct effect on the outcome of the making form study. Through the result of this study, it is determined that symmetry application to product design has granted a positive effect on design practical study of students. Such endeavors will contribute greatly to not only the promotion of design education related to engineering, but also the search of integrated education contents to strengthen the manufacturing developers.
