예비교사의 반성적 저널에서 나타난 수업시연과정에서 경험한 어려움과 의미 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 예비교사들의 반성적 저널에서 나타난 수업시연 경험의 교육적 의미와 효과를 교사 전문성 함양의 측면에서 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 사범대학 교육학과에 재학 중인 예비교사 40명을 대상으로 한 학기동안 두 차례 수업시연 을 실시하면서 반성 저널을 작성하게 하였다. 연구문제는 1) 예비교사들이 수업시연과정에서 경험한 난점은 무엇인가 2) 예비교사들에게 수업시연은 어떠한 의미인가였다. 첫째, 예비교사들이 수업을 설계하고 시연하는 과정에서 경험한 난점을 분석한 결과, 수업지도안 작성, 학습자 중심 수업 설계, 학습모형 활용의 효과성, 평가 계획등에서 크고 작은 어려움을 겪은 것으로 나타났다. 이들은 특히, 교직실무관련 이론 지식을 숙지하고 있으나 이를 실제 수업 계획 및 실행, 평가 과정에 적절히 활용하지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 수업시연에서 자신이 계획한 대로 진행되지 않은 것에 대하여 난감해 하였다. 둘째, 예비교사들에게 수업시연은 어떤 의미인지 분석한 결과, 이들은 수업시연이 자신들에게 수업 ‘실제’에 대한 안목을 길러주었고, 좋은 수업을 위한 계획의 중요성을 깨닫게 하였으며, 좋은 교사상에 대해 성찰할 수있는 기회를 제공하였다고 기술하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 교사양성 프로그램으로서 수업시연의 가치를 질적으로 확인할 수 있었으며 예비교사 훈련을 위하여 수업시연에 필요한 공간 확보, 단발성이 아닌 연속적 수업시연 기회 제공, 그리고 자기 수업에 대한 체계적인 분석을 전제로 하는 반성 과정의 정례화를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study is to explore the educational meaning and effect addressing from preservice teachers’ journal writing in aspect of professional development. 40 student teachers participated in the study implemented two sessions of microteaching. They were asked to write five journal papers in total during the microteaching. Research questions were 1) what are the problems faced by the pre-service teachers in instructional planning and implementing? and 2) what do they value on the experience as future teachers? As results, first, the preservice teachers experienced difficulties overall through the process(e.g. writing lesson plans, designing student-centered instruction, utilizing learning models, planning evaluation etc). Especially, they reported that they experienced hardships on applying their pedagogical knowledge into the practice and planning evaluations and they felt that the microteaching did not turn out the way they planned. Second, this study can make it possible for preservice teachers to establish their own insight of “classroom” and their own ideas of “a good teacher. They also realized that ”successful practice“ depends on how carefully teachers prepare for. According to the findings, the study made three suggestions to enhance the quality of preservice teacher programs; promoting security of space and providing continuous and regular opportunities for microteaching and reflecting their own practice through journal writing.
