교육과정 개정에서 범교과 학습 주제의 교육과정 적용 방안 연구

국문 초록

지금까지 교육과정 개정 논의에서는 다양한 국가·사회적 요구가 범교과 학습 주제 교육에 큰 압력으로 작용해오고 있다. 7차 교육과정에서 범교과 학습 주제가 등장한 이후 범교과 학습 주제는 양적 측면에서 엄청난 팽창을 하여 2009개정 교육과 정에서는 39개의 범교과 학습 주제가 제시되었다. 그러나 학교 현장에서는 범교과학습 주제의 교육에서 당초 의도한 목적에 맞게 실행되고 있지 않으며 더 큰 문제는 교사의 수업과 학습자의 학습에 부담을 주고 있다는 점이다. 이러한 문제 상황의 배 경에는 다양한 국가·사회적 요구의 반영 과정에서 그 교육적 가치를 적절하게 판단하는 과정이 존재하지 않는다는 점이 자리하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 현재의 범교과 학습 주제가 교육과정 운영을 어렵게 하는 이유와 그 모습들을 살펴보고 국가·사회적 요구가 교육과정에 반영되는 과정을 살펴보고자한다. 이어서 선행 연구를 기반으로 다양한 범교과 학습 주제의 개념을 대안으로 제 시, 분석하고자 한다. 그리고 현재의 빠르게 변화하는 국가·사회적 요구의 수용 모델을 검토하기 위한 새로운 범교과 학습 주제의 정련 과정을 제시하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Teachers and students engage in teaching and learning process based on the national curriculum. The revision of curricula can affect and be affected by national social needs. The national social needs consist of what is worth being learned in the future. In this context, cross-curricular subjects were designed to reflect those needs in the 7th national curriculum. But the cross-curricular subjects have not been working well in every curriculum revision since they were introduced. The curricula revised in 2009 have 39 cross-curricular subjects. They caused many problems in curriculum practice because there were too many things to do in the classroom. Furthermore these 39 cross-curricular subjects sharing similar purposes and contents give rise to unnecessary duplication problems. Expecting the number of cross-curricular subjects, there was no proper curriculum revision system. To solve this problem, this study inquires into varied reasons and phenomena of the current curriculum revision system in the view of schools and classes. Base on revealed reasons, we need to consider the concept of cross-curricular subjects. Some preceding studies helped us to explore various valid statuses of the cross-curricular subjects in the national curriculum. These statuses show some examples of new national curriculum. By synthesizing these alternatives, this study suggests a new cross-curricular subject organization process which consists of 5 steps: positioning the cross-curricular subject; rearranging cross-curricular subjects; verifying new needs; deciding presentation methods; and embodying. This new process of curriculum revision can be applied continuously to deal with national and social needs.
