교사학습공동체 참여 교사들의 인식 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 교사학습공동체 참여 교사들이 교사학습공동체의 목표와 규범, 갈등조정, 성과 등에 대해 어떻게 인식하고 있는지를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 연구문제를 다음과 같이 설정하였다. 첫째, 교사학습공동체 참여 교사들은 ‘교사 학습공동체’에 대해 어떻게 인식하고 있는가? 둘째, 학교 맥락에 따라 교사학습공동체 참여 교사들의 인식에 차이가 있는가? 연구방법은 설문조사 방법으로, 2개 초등학교의 교사학습공동체 참여 교사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 조사 도구 는 Grossman, Wineburg와 Woolworth(2001)를 참고하여 교사학습공동체의 목표,규범, 갈등 조정, 교사 성장 등으로 그 범주를 구분하여 설문 영역을 구성하고 세부항목을 개발하였다. 조사 결과, 전반적으로 참여 교사들은 교사학습공동체의 목표와 규범 설정, 갈등 해결 과정, 성과 전반에 대해 어느 정도 긍정적인 인식을 보이고 있었다. A초등학교와 B초등학교 교사들은 비슷한 인식 경향을 보이는데, 교사학습공동체 운영 기간이 상대적으로 짧지만 국립학교라는 특성을 가진 A초등학교 교사들의 경우 자신들이 참여하고 있는 교사학습공동체가 지향에 근접한 특성들을 가지고 있다고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study aims to unveil the specific attributes and characteristics of a professional learning community by analyzing how teacher participants perceive goals and social norms about professional learning communities. For this study, researchers formulate the following research questions. First, how do teacher participants perceive professional learning communities? Second, are there any difference between ‘A’ elementary school teachers perception and ‘B elementary school teachers about participating in professional learning communities? With these research questions, These researchers administered survey questions to ‘A’ and ‘B elementary school teachers. A tool for this research is derived from Grossman, Weinburg and Woolworth(2001) study which categorizes goals, norms, conflicts and tensions, and teachers professional growth in a professional learning community. Teacher participants in a professional learning communities perceived, to some extent, its characteristics and meanings in general. They also actively engaged in a process of establishing goals and norms and resolving conflict. Teachers in A elementary school and B elementary school had the very similar perceptions of the characteristics and meanings of a professional learning communities. ‘A elementary school teachers had relatively short experiences than those of ‘B’ elementary school teachers but they were very closed to the goals and orientation that the professional learning communities had commonly shared with.
