초등 체육과 통섭적 교육과정 운영의 교육적 의미 탐색

국문 초록

이 연구는 교과 간 연계성 있는 교육과정 내용 및 활동을 선정하여 신체활동의 가치와 의미를 구현함과 동시에 체육교육과 관련된 지식과 내용을 총체적으로 경험할수 있는 통섭적 교육과정 운영이 교육적으로 어떠한 교육적 의미를 내포하고 있는 지 를 심층적으로 이해 및 파악하고자 하는 데 있다. 이 연구는 질적 연구방법에 기초한 셀프연구를 이용하여 연구를 수행하였다. 구체적인 자료 수집은 문서자료, 저널, 학생배움 공책, 수업관찰, 면담을 통해 이루어졌으며 자료 분석은 Clandinin과 Connelly(2000)가 제안한 내러티브 탐구절차에 따라 현장 속에 존재하기, 현장에서 현장 텍스트로 이동하기, 현장 텍스트 구성하기, 현장 텍스트에서 연구 텍스트로 이동하기, 연구 텍스트 작성하기의 과정을 거쳐 기술-분석-해석하였다. 연구결과, 교사 차원의 교육적 의미에는 ‘교육과정 전문가로서의 교사’, ‘학교를 개선하는 교사’, ‘리더-학습자로서 교사’로 나타났다. 학생 차원의 교육적 의미는 ‘인식론적 기능’, ‘사회 심리적기능’으로 나타났다, 또한 교과 차원의 교육적 의미는 ‘환원주의 패러독스’, ‘교육과정편제의 변주곡’으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine Educational meanings of a consilient Curriculum as one of possible alternatives to existing in elementary school Physical education curriculums As for research design of the study, a self-study that employed a qualitative research method was adopted. A self-study focuses on the educational meaning of educational behavior and a space where situational contexts interact with one another, in pursuit of the personal and professional growth and development of individual teachers and the improvement of instruction and school performance. The collected data included documents, journals, notebooks of the students, class observation data and interview data. According to Cladinin & Connelly(2000) s narrative inquiry process, all the collected materials were described, analyzed and interpreted in the following procedure: being. The educational meaning of the consilient P.E. curriculum was discussed in terms of teacher, student and subject. First, regarding the educational meaning of the consilient P.E. curriculum in terms of teacher is ‘teacher as curriculum experts’, ‘teachers who could improve school’, ‘teachers as leaders and learners’. Second, as for the educational meaning of the consilient P.E. curriculum in terms of students, the curriculum had two different functions: epistemic function and sociopsycological function. Third, concerning the educational meaning of the consilient P.E. curriculum in terms of the subject, the curriculum made it possible to eliminate the paradox of reductionism and to step up the interchange of knowledge. The consilient approach that accelerates communication among different subjects could be called the variation of curriculum compilation that lets each subject remain intact yet seeks after the diversity of curriculum by allowing teachers to compile and manage the curriculum as they intended.
