청마 유치환 시의 초월 의식 연구

국문 초록

청마의 시세계에서 초월 의식은 빼놓을 수 없는 시적 태도로 생각 되지만 그것은 단순히 신에 대한 인간의 의지적 태도로 쉽사리 요약될 수 없는 것이다. 본고는 청마의 시세계에서 신이 갖는 의미와 허무 의식과의 관계를 해명하고 청마의 초월 의식이 여러 시편들에서 어떻게 시적으로 형상화되고 있는지를 유형화하여 살폈다. 청마에게 신은 인간사에 개입하지 않는 존재로 이해되고 있다. 이는 신이 아닌, 인간의 능동성을 강조하는 청마 특유의 신관, 즉 적극적 허무주의로 형상화된다. 청마의 시편들에서 허무주의를 내적 동력으로 삼고 있으면서도 당대 현실의 위악과 피폐함을 비판하고 인간이 지녀야 할 당위적 태도를 제시할 수 있는 이유가 여기에 있다. 청마 시에 일관되는 초월 의식은 의식의 주체에 따라 크게 세 가지 유형으로 나누어 살펴볼 수 있다. 즉 신 또는 초월자적 주체가 중심이 된 초월 의식, 필멸자인 인간이 세속적 자아로부터 탈피하여 보편적 존재로 나아가고자 하는 초월 의식, 인간과 인간 사이의 관계에서 탈속적인 사랑의 형상화를 통해 드러나는 초월 의식이 그것이다. 첫 번째의 경우, 청마는 자신의 시편 속에서 초월자적 입장을 상상함으로써 당대 현실의 표피적인 현상을 넘어, 우주와 존재의 보편적 질서를 구현하는 한편, 당대가 결여하고 있는 당위적 입장을 제시하면서, 현실 비판적인 시편을 제시하는 경향성을 보여준다. 두 번째의 경우, 청마는 신을 마주하는 인간의 입장에서, 현실의 세속적 자아로부터 벗어나 순수 자아를 보존하고 존재 구원의 가능성을 상상하는 시편을 제시한다. 이러한 낭만적 동경의 모습은 흔히 나무, 바위, 산과 같은 육중 하고 강인한 이미지를 지닌 자연물을 제재로 삼아 형상화된다. 세 번째의 경우, 청마는 신의 섭리 아래 모든 사물들은 평등하고 무차별적 이라는 인식을 갖게 되면서 부드러운 어조와 수평적인 공간 이미지를 제시한 다. 특히 평등한 대상들끼리의 가장 높은 수준의 관계 맺기 방식인 사랑은 자아의 한계를 극복하고 존재의 초월적인 참모습을 지향하는 낭만적 동경의 상상력을 보여준다. 이처럼 청마 시에 나타나는 초월 의식의 세 가지 유형은 청마의 시세계를 해명하게 하고 그 시적 형상화 방식을 이해하게 하는 단초가 된다.

영문 초록

Ryu Chi-Hwan s poetry has transcendental consciousness as its essence. But many researchers explain it only through the relationship between God and man. This study explains the relationship between the meaning of God, consciousness of vanity, and transcendental consciousness in poetry world of Ryu Chi-Hwan. And it tells how the relationship is expressed in the his poetry. He thinks that God is not involved in human history. From a human point of view, God is empty because he does nothing. However, Godlessness enables the active act of man. Therefore, the imprecision expressed in the poetry of the hermaphrodite can be said to be an active negligence. This is why his poetry criticizes the wickedness of society and suggests the correct attitude that humans should have. This study explains the transcendental consciousness of Ryu Chi-Hwan s poetry divided into three types. Transcendental consciousness centered on God or transcendent subject, A transcendental consciousness that human beings, who are mortals, move away from the earthly self and move toward universal existence, Transcendental consciousness as degenerate love in the relationship between man and man, it is. In the first case, Ryu Chi-Hwan s poetry looks at the contemporary world from the viewpoint of God and presents the ethics of God lacking in the present age. In the second case, He writes poetry from the human point of view facing God. Thus he wants to escape from the secular self and to be saved into pure self. It is a romantic longing. Romantic longing expresses itself as a strong and unchanging natural object. In the third case, he thinks that all objects are equal and indifferent under the providence of God. Thus, he expresses a soft tone and a horizontal spatial image. In particular, he focuses on love. Because love is the highest level of relationship between the creatures. he thought that love was the ultimate way to overcome the limits of self and toward the realities of being. Thus, his poetry reveals three types of transcendent consciousness.
