예비교사의 입학전형 유형별 교직 적·인성 특성의 구조적 관계 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 예비교사의 입학전형 유형별 교직 적·인성 특성에 대한 구조적 관계를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 구체적으로 교직 수행을 위해 요구되는 예비교사의 적·인성 관련 잠재변인들의 요인구조를 분석하고, 입학전형 유형에 따른 집단 간 교직 적· 인성 요인구조를 비교하며, 학업성취도에 대해 교직 적·인성이 어떠한 매개효과를 지니는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기도 소재 교원양성기관에서 교직과정을 이수중인 4학년 학생 110명에 대한 교직 적·인성 측정 자료와 학업성적 및 대입전형 정보를 연계하여 연구 자료를 구성하였다. 전형유형별 교직 적·인성 수준 및 요인구 조에 대한 분석 결과, 입학 전형 유형이 다른 학생 집단 간 교직 적·인성 수준의 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았으며, 교직 적·인성 하위 요소 중 언어·의사소통력과 지도성이 교직 적·인성을 예측하는 데 가장 설명력이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 입학전형 유형에 따른 예비교사 집단 간 교직 적·인성 잠재변인의 요인구조가 상이 하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 입학전형 유형별 대학생들의 학업 성적에 대한 교직 적· 인성 요인의 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 수시 전형으로 입학한 학생의 경우 학업성적과 교직 적·인성 점수 간 정적인 상관은 있으나 통계적 유의성은 확보되지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 도출된 결과를 토대로 예비교사 교직 적·인성 함양을 위한 정책 방향과 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to investigate the structural relationship among factors related to preservice teachers dispositions. In particular, the study was intended 1) to compare character traits, aptitude, and academic achievement between two preservice teacher groups, 2) to explore factor structures of preservice teachers character traits, and 3) to examine the mediating effect of preservice teachers’ aptitude and character traits on their academic achievement. For these purposes, data were collected for preservice teachers’ responses to the self-monitoring instrument of their aptitude and character traits, and were combined with the academic achievement records, which were measured by a grade-point average. The data were analyzed using factor analysis with covariates model and the multiple indicators and multiple causes model. In addition, the single-level simple mediation analysis model was employed to explore the mediating effect of the preservice teachers’ character traits on their academic achievement. The results of this study indicated that leadership and communication skills have the strongest factor loadings, implying that these two traits were the most effective predictors in accounting for preservice teachers’ aptitude and character tratis. However, the factor structures were not found to be different between the regular admission group and the admission officer group. Based on the results of this study, we discussed implications for improving the quality of the academic management and college admission procedures for preservice teachers.
