실과 식생활 영역의 다문화교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용

국문 초록

이 연구는 실과 식생활 영역의 다문화 교육 프로그램을 개발하고 이를 적용하여 초등학교 학생들의 다문화 인식의 변화에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위하여 수행되었다. 개발한 실과 식생활 영역의 다문화교육 프로그램의 목표는 다른 문화를 이해하는 능력과 존중하는 태도를 함양하여 다문화 시대에 모든사람들을 포용하며 행복하게 살 수 있도록 하기 위함이었다. 각 나라의 자연환경, 생활 모습, 상징, 역사, 식생활 등의 내용 요소가 포함되도록 조직하였으며, 각 나라의 전통음식을 만들고 체험하는 활동으로 다문화 프로그램을 구성하였다. 개발된 프로그램은 8개의 학습 주제로, 총 24차시이었으며, 주제는 친구 나라 이해하기, 일본의 초밥 만들기, 인도의 커리와 난 만들기, 베트남의 월남 쌈 만들기, 동남아시아의 빙수 만들기, 몽골 음식 체험하기, 러시아 음식 체험하기, 중국 음식 미니북 만들기이었다. 개발된 프로그램을 4학년 학생들에게 8주간 24차시를 적용한 결과 다문화 인식의 개방성, 수용성, 존중성등이 유의적으로 증가하였다(p<.05). 따라서 실과 식생활 영역의 다문화교육 프로그램은 다문화적 능력을 함양하는데 긍정적인 효과가 나타남을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop an elementary multicultural education program for the dietary life area of practical arts and to examine its effect on the awareness of students about multiculture. After a multicultural education program was developed to teach the dietary life area of practical arts, fourth-grade elementary school students received education according to the program, and whether there were any changes in their awareness of multiculture was checked to analyze the effect of the program. In addition, the students wrote about how they felt about each learning theme of the program, and their writing was analyzed to find out how they responded to the program. The findings of the study were as follows : The multicultural education program for the dietary life section of practical arts aimed at teaching students to understand and value foreign cultures and to cope with multicultural problem situations. So the program covered eight cultural components of those countries: traditional food, traditional lifestyle, natural environment, symbol, history. And the program was mainly composed of making traditional foods. As a result of implementing the multicultural education program in the dietary life section of practical arts, there was a significant improvement in openness, receptivity, acceptabitity for multiculture(p<.05).
