학령기아동의 조기유학 경험유무와 부모-자녀관계 지각 차이에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 변화하는 교육현실과 자녀교육 방식에 따라 자녀의 조기유학경험 유무에 따른 부모-자녀관계에 영향을 미치는 관련 변인의 차이를 살펴봄으로써, 조기유학이 부모-자녀관계에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울, 경기지역의 초등학교 고학년, 중학교 전 학년의 조기유학유경험자와 조기유학 무경험자를 대상으로 총 202부를 수집하여 SPSS WIN 12.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 첫째, 자녀의 조기유학 경험 유무에 따른 부모-자녀 의사소통의 차이를 분석한 결과, 조사대상자의 성별, 연령, 친구 수, 담임교사와의 관계, 학업성적, 부모 종교에 따라 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 자녀의 조기유학 경험 유무에 따른 부모역할 만족도에 차이를 분석한 결과, 조사대상자의 성별, 연령, 친구 수, 담임교사와의 관계, 학업 성적, 부모의 종교에 따라 차이를 보였다.

영문 초록

Korean society is undergoing drastic changes in education, especially in terms of private sectors practices. Early adolescent s short-term or long-term experience(s) of studying abroad is not a rare phenomena in Korea. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of early adolescents studying abroad experience on their perceived parent-child relationships. Surveys were administrated with early adolescents (n=202) and then divided into two group, with and without an experience of studying abroad group. By using SPSS win 12.0 program, the collected data was analyzed. The results of the group comparisons showed the significant differences in perceived parent-child communication between the groups. Hence the difference was indicated by gender, age, number of friends, perceived relationship with their homeroom teacher and academic achievement. Parental satisfaction levels were significantly different between the two groups- with and without the experience. By gender, age, number of friends, relationships with homeroom teacher, and academic achievement, the parental satisfaction levels were significantly different.
