예비유아교사의 자아존중감이 교직 적․인성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 예비유아교사의 교직 적․인성 향상을 위해 자아존중감이 교직 적․인성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 경기도 소재 K대학 유아교육학과에 재학 중인 예비유아교사 232명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예비유아교사의 긍정적 자아평가 수준은 ‘봉사경험’에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났고 부정적 자아평가 수준은 ‘성적’에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 교직 적․인성 수준은 ‘성적’에 따라 부분적으로, ‘봉사경험’에 따라 전체적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째. 예비유아교사의 긍정적 자아평가 상위집단과 하위집단 간에는 교직 적인성 모든 하위요인에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 끝으로, 예비유아교사의 ‘긍정적 자아평가’는 교직 적․인성 전체에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변인이며 영향력은 17.9%로 나타났다. ‘부정적 자아평가’는 특히 ‘심리적 안정성’에 유의한 영향을 미치며 영향력은 23.0%로 나타나 예비유아교사의 심리적 안정성을 예측하는 매우 강력한 변인임이 확인되었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로, 예비유아교사의 긍정적 자아평가를 증진시키기고 부정적 자아평가를 감소시키는 다양한 방안에 대해 논의하였으며 이는 예비유아교사의 교직 적․인성 향상 프로그램 개발에 기초자료가 될 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The goal of this study is to investigate the effect of pre - kindergarten teacher s self - esteem on teaching aptitude and personality. To this end, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 232 pre– kindergarten teachers attending K University at Gyeong-Gi. The results of the study are as follows. First, the positive self–esteem of pre–kindergarten teachers showed a significant difference according to academic report and the negative self–esteem of pre–kindergarten teachers showed a significant difference according to ‘volunteer activity experience’. Teacher s aptitude and personality level showed a significant difference according to ‘volunteer activity experience’. Second, there was a significant difference in all sub-factors of aptitude and personality between upper-group and subgroup of posive self–esteem and the score of aptitude and personality in upper group appears to be high. Finally, the influence of positive self-esteem on the whole of teaching aptitude and personality was 17.9%. Especially, negative self–esteem among the sub–factors of self –esteem was a determinant factor affecting the ‘psychological stability’ of pre–kindergarten teachers and the influence was confirmed to be 23.0%. Based on the results of this study, it was discussed how to raise awareness of self–esteem and to promote various measures for improvement of teaching aptitude and personality.
