국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유아의 기질, 자기조절능력, 어머니 코칭역량의 관계에 대해 알아보고, 유아의 기질 과 자기조절능력간의 관계에서 어머니 코칭역량의 매개효과가 나타나는지 살펴보는 것이다. 연구대상은 서울, 수도권 지역에 거주하는 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니 258명으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 Pearson 상관분석과 구조방정식모형을 사용하여 bootstrapping 방법으로 매개효과 분석을 실시하였다. 연 구결과는 첫째, 유아의 기질과 자기조절능력, 어머니 코칭역량은 통계적으로 유의미한 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 유아 기질과 자기조절능력의 관계에서 어머니 코칭역량의 매개효과가 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 유아의 자기조절능력 증진을 도모하기 위해 유아의 기질을 고려한 어머니 코칭역량 강화프로그램의 중요성을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between child’s temperament, self-regulation, and mother's coaching ability, and to confirm the mediating effect. The subjects of research were 258 mothers with child in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The data collection was performed using a questionnaire. Pearson correlation and SEM were analyzed using a bootstrapping method. The results were as follows. First, there was a significant correlation between child’s temperament, self-regulation, and the mother's coaching ability. Second, the mother's coaching ability showed a mediating effect when the child's temperament affect self-regulation. The results of this study suggested that parental education programs to deal with the mother's coaching ability depending on child’s temperament in order to develop self-regulation of child.
