1711년 통신사 필담창화집 『槎客通筒集』 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 1711년 통신사 필담창화집인 『槎客通筒集』의 창작배경과 수록 시문의 현황 및 특징, 그리고 내용상의 특징을 살폈다. 첫째, 『사객통통집』은 1711년 통신사행에 참여한 조선의 사행원과 일본 接伴僧 別宗祖緣이 주고받은 필담과 시문을 모은 필담창화집이다. 別宗의 제자들이 통신사 접반의 본보기를 보인 스승을 선양하려는 뜻에서 편집하였다. 둘째, 『사객통통집』은 총 4권으로 서문, 「槎客通筒集姓氏」, 別宗이 정사ㆍ제술관과 나눈 필담을 비롯하여 총 150題 200首의 시를 수록하고 있다. 그리고 『사객통통집』은 「槎客通筒集姓氏」에 언급되지 않은 인물의 시를 수록하고, 『韓客詞章』의 편지는 수록하지 않았으며, 『한객사장』에 수록된 시를 분산 수록하면서까지 양국 문사간 문학교류의 모습을 사실적으로 파악할 수 있게 재편집했다는 특징을 보인다. 셋째, 수록 시문에는 別宗의 상대에 대한 칭탄과 唱和에 대한 기대, 일본의 자연과 문물에 대한 자부심의 표출, 옛 벗에 대한 그리움과 양국 문사 간 인연 맺어주기, 題畵詩를 통한 스승과 조상에 대한 선양의식, 귀국에 대한 축하와 이별에 대한 아쉬움의 토로 등을 주된 내용으로 담고 있었다. 이로써 통신사 사행원만의 시를 담은 『한객사장』에 대한 연구가 지닌 한계를 극복하여 1711년 통신사 사행원과 接伴僧 모두의 시각을 담은 온전한 양국 문사간 교류의 실상을 파악할 수 있게 되었다.

영문 초록

This paper discusses the background of Sagaektongtongjip and characteristics of the poems in it as follows: First, Sagaektongtongjip is a collection of the conversations and poems that were done by the members of the 1711 Tongshinsa and the Japanese Buddhist monk, Betshusoen, who served them as a tour guide. Betshu's disciples published this book with the intension of promoting the wonder of their teacher's work. Second, Sagaektongtongjip consists of 4 volumes altogether: there are foreword, the introduction of the figures in it, the conversations and 200 poems. Some of the 200 poems are the ones written by people who are not included in the introduction. Although it does not have letters in Hangaeksajang, Sagaektongtongjip contains some poems in it, and that fact reflects its realistic traits of being a collection of poems and conversations shared by the scholars of Joseon and Japan. Third, Betshu's own poems comprise praise of others, expectations of poetry writing, expression of his pride in Japan's landscape and culture, some memory of old friends, promotion of the spirit of his teacher and ancestors, and celebration of Tongshinsa members' coming back to Joseon.
