영문 초록

This study aims to acquire fundamental resources for the development of recreational environment in rural and mountain areas by carrying out a survey of opinions of urban residents, who are the main visitors of the rural areas, and the rural residents, who are receiving the recreational visitors. On the basis of this study, it is to present possiblilty and direction of the development of Green Tourism The results of the study can be summarized as follows: 1) The outcome of analyzing recreational activities concerning the staying in rural area indicates personal inclination is comparatively more dominant. Thus it can be said most people would like to get involved in less-active and observing activities. This trend seems to show a seeming image about rural area rather than more realistic life of such villages has influence on the recreational activities as people nowadays have fewer opportunities to contact and experience rural area. On the other hand, rural residents are willing to participate more active experience compare to the urban residents. Also the rural residents do not prefer to have the recreational visitors during the harvesting season. 2) The use value of natural environment in the rural settings shows relatively low by the respondents. 3) Rural residents are having high priority on the region`s economic vitalizations through inducing urban recreational visitors, they do not know how to induce the urban residents to the rural settings. Even though the rural residents are interested in developing the staying recreation in rural and mountain villages, they are also concerned about the environmental degradation and the disturbance of the social order in rural areas. 4) The results suggest that the maintenance of facilities and site for recreational activities is very important in the rural settings. To accomplish the vitalizations of Green Tourism at the rural areas by exchanging between urban and rural communities, following issues should be considered: 1) to conserve and maintain the natural and cultural environments as recreational resources, 2) to develop the recreational programs for enfacing rural residents` awareness and inducing urban residents` participation, and 3) to research on providing recreational facilities, funding, and organization in terms of management political and enconomic aspects.
