영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of spatial decentralization for investment on growth and distribution, using the interregional Computable General Equilibrium model for Korea. The result of the counterfactual analysis shows that increase of investment in the Honam region has the advantages of national economic growth and reduction in the interregional income disparity, and the disadvantage of worsening of income distribution. Sencondly, the impacts of the Youngnam investment policy on the growth and the distribution are raked as the lowest compared with the regional investment alternatives such as the Capital region, the Chungbuk region, and the Honam region. But, the regional development strategy for the Youngnam generates higher export and lower import than the others. Finally, the development of the Capital region has moderate impacts on the income distribution and the national growth in relative. It is necessary to improve the marginal productivity of the capital input by the structural adjustment in order to enhance the international competitiveness in the 2000s.
