영문 초록

In the recent domestic and international issue, the world market face new challenges posed by head to head competition. The local government require to improve international competitiveness of their own region in the context of globalization. Under this condition, it is necessary to suggest the strategies for regional economic development in order to improving international competitiveness. Therefore, we focus in this study on the following; First, evaluating international competitiveness and development stage of globalization of Chungnam-Taejon region with view to empirical perspectives. Second, analysis of the development potential and trend of globalization of this region. Third, suggest strategies for the regional development in the context of globalization.
