영문 초록

The construction industry is known as the leading industry in the Taejon regional economy. Although the major companies are assessed having a little the competition power only in the aspect of receiving order limit, compared with the others except the ones in Seoul, almost all of them have deficiencies in capital, skilled full time manpower, and allied production system. Especially it loses a lot of its induction effect in employment and production because of the lack of the allied manufacturing industries. Therefore, the paper suggests the restructuring strategies as follows: First, the enlargement of the capital through company consolidation. But it must be supported by the reinforcement of skilled engineers and thechnology accumulation. Second, the strategic affiliation and systematization among the related companies within the community. And last, the market creation by becoming joint venture invester for itself, and through cooperating with the municipal government.
