최근 조선족 소설에 나타난 공간인식과 고향의식의 관련 양상 - 2009∼2012 『중국조선족문학 우수작품집』을 중심으로

국문 초록

글은 조선족의 일상과 장소를 대표하는 공간으로 고향을 재구성하는 방식을 분석하고 나아가 고향의식의 재구성(혹은 재구성의 실패)이 다중 스케일적 공간인식과의 상호영향관계 아래서 어떻게 전개되는지를 살피고자 한다. 장소성의 상실, 이에 따른 개체의 부유와 정체성의 분열, 공간인식 층위의 무화 등을 공통적으로 보여주는 소설들은, 고향의 소멸을 전제로 하며 아비의 부재를 공통분모로 갖고 있다. 이 소설들은 장소가 부재할 때 맥락적이고 다층적인 공간은 삭제되고 무맥락적인 공간을 배경으로 사적 공간, 개체의 내면공간만을 질문할 수 있을 뿐이다. 반면, 주로 고향으로 호명되는 조선족 농촌지역은 다중 스케일의 공간들과 그 관계망 그리고 장소에 대한 중층적인 영향력을 인식하고 경험하는 고정점이 되고 있다. 그리고 고향은 아비라는 존재와 긴밀하게 결합되어 있다. 위 두 경향의 소설이 공존하고 있는 최근 중국 조선족소설은 고향ㆍ아비로 형상화되는 공간적ㆍ민족적 구심력과 장소의 상실로 구체화되는 원심력이 충돌ㆍ갈등하는 과도기적 상황을 보여준다. 역설적인 것은, 원심력과 구심력의 이원적 분리와 충돌은 선명하지 않으며 구심력은 공간층위의 측면에서 다양한 인식과 해석들이 충돌하는 과정과 연동되어 구현되고 있다는 점이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the way of reconstructing ethnic Koreans’ home village as the space that represents their place and daily life and to examine how the reconstruction of their awareness about the home village comes to unfold under the mutually influencing relationship with the multi-layered spatial recognition. The ethnic Koreans’ rural area which is mainly called their home village is becoming a fixed point where they perceive and experience the multi-layered spatial influence of the multi-scaled spaces, their relationship network and the place In other words, the home village as a place is the location where various layered spaces converge in a multi-layered structure and the responses to the convergence are driven at the same time. In addition, the home village is closely combined with the person called the father. On the contrary, novels that presuppose the disappearance of the home village have the absence of the father as a common denominator. These novels commonly show the loss of the sense of place, the individuals’ resultant drifting, their confusion of the identities, the disappearance of the spatial awareness layers, etc. When the place is absent, the contextual and multi-layered space is deleted; only the questions about the individuals’ inner space can be asked against its noncontextual background.
