국문 초록

낙동강은 영남지방의 대동맥으로 지역문화와 경제 발전에 지대한 공헌을 하였다. 그러나 오늘의 낙동강 현실은 그러하지 못하다. 친수공간을 연결하는 주요 통로는 강변도로를 건설하여 차단되었고 경치가 좋은 지역은 고층아파트가 자리 잡아 주변 자연경관과의 동경을 단절 시키고 있다. 그동안 정비되고 관리되지 않은 물길은 하상 퇴적물로 인해 통항이 불가능하게 되어 내륙과 연안지역과의 소통은 물론이거니와 이웃지역간의 소통마저 단절되고 말았다. 낙동강은 물길 잇기를 통한 지역 간 역사문화의 소통이 이루어져야 한다. ‘보여지는’ 물길에서 ‘이용하는’물길로 다시 태어나야 한다. 지역 간 역사문화의 고리를 잇는 매개체 역할을 할 수 있도록 역사문화경관의 회복이 이루어져야 한다. 강이 흐르는 지역에 남아 있는 역사와 전설, 문학과 음악을 발굴하고 자연경관과 연계하여 스토리텔링이 가능하도록 콘텐츠를 개발하여야 한다.

영문 초록

The Nakdonggang has been the motivating source of local culture as the artery of the Gyeongsang area However, the reality of the Nakdonggang is not so. Most of the access to the water is disconnected due to building of riverside roads, and high-rising apartments are preventing view of natural scenes. In addition, by providing water to the nearby farms, the river shows its riverbed in spring time. The watercourse, long been neglected, is not navigable anymore because of the riverbed sediments accumulation. Therefore, not only the connection between the inlands and seashore but also between each neighborhood has become impossible. Now, the river must be reconnected in order to make communication of history and culture between regions possible. From 'seeable' river to 'usable' river, the Nakdonggang must be reborn. In order to regain the role of medium among regional history and cultures, the historic-cultural townscape needs to be restored. For that, legends, history, culture and music along the river should be excavated and connected to the natural scene to be developed as cultural contents from which storytelling is available.
