수학여행의 심리·교육적 효과분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 체험학습의 일부인 수학여행이 학교생활만족에 직?간접적으로 영향을 미치게 될 것이라는 문제의식에서 출발하여 수학여행참여가 학생의 정서변화와 함께 학교생활만족에 미치는 영향에 대해 규명하고자 한다. 분석 결과, 크게 두 가지 특징이 발견되었다. 첫째, 수학여행 참여는 심리적 측면에서 긍정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 정서 변화 요인 중 우울 수준은 수학여행 이후에 유의미하게 감소되었고, 인지 역량 부분은 수학여행 이후에 유의미하게 증가되었다. 그러나 긍정기분과 불안, 그리고 사회적 능력 요인은 유의미한 영향을 받지 않은 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 수학여행참여는 예상했던 것처럼 학교생활만족에 긍정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다만, 학교생활만족요인 중 교우관계와 학급 분위기에는 영향을 미치지 않았다. 그러나 학업과 수업, 교사관계에 대한 만족도가 증가하였고, 학교규칙에 대한 만족과 전반적인 학교생활만족도가 증가한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구 결과를 근거로 초?중등학교의 교육과정을 편성하는 데 있어 체험학습과 같은 프로그램을 계발?실행하는 방식으로 활용된다면 교육의 질이 향상되고 궁극적으로 교육의 발전을 도모할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study has an assumption that participation into a educational field trip which may be designed by every institute can directly or indirectly influence the school life satisfaction. The results of the study can be summarized as follows. The results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, it showed that participating in school field trip had significant effects on one emotional changes among three factors. Especially depression level was decreased and cognitive competency(involvement to travel, courage to travel and traveller"s identity) was increased significantly. But positive mood, anxiety and social ability factor was not significant. Second, participating in school field trip had also significant positive effects on sub-dimensions of school life satisfaction as the hypotheses expected, except for satisfactions to ‘friendship’ and ‘mood of class’ among school life satisfaction factors. But satisfaction of ‘teacher-pupil relations’ and ‘school regulation’ increased and general school life satisfaction expanded significantly. These results has many implications theoretically and practically. If these results of the study will be used to the curriculum of elementary and middle school for applying to development of program such as work-study program, it can improve the quality of school life and progress of educational achievement.
