경로분석을 활용한 수학문장제 문제해결력 영향요인에 관한 연구

국문 초록

수학문장제 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 복합적인 능력이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 수학문장제 문제해결력에 영향을 주는 변인들을 탐색하고, 일반학생과 수학부진학생에 따라 수학문장제 문제해결력과 관련된 변인들에 차이가 있는지 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초등학교 3학년 353명을 대상으로 수학문장제 문제해결력, 연산능력, Maze, 주의력, 작업 기억, 처리속도, 어휘력, 행렬추리검사를 실시하였다. 본 검사결과를 바탕으로 상관분석 및 다중회귀분석을 통하여 수학문장제 문제해결력에 영향을 주는 변인을 탐색하였고, 구조방정식 경로분석을 통하여 일반학생과 수학학습부진학생의 수학문장제 문제해결력과 관련변인간의 경로계수를 비교분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 수학문장제 문제해결력과 관련된 변인은 연산능력, Maze, 어휘, 처리속도였다. 둘째, 일반학생의 수학문장제 문제해결력에 영향을 주는 변인은 Maze와 어휘력, 연산능력이었으며, 이들의 연산능력에 유의미하게 영향을 주는 변인은 주의력과 작업 기억이었다. 수학학습부진학생들의 경우 어휘, 연산능력, 주의력이 수학문장제 문제해결력에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과를 토대로 수학문장제 문제해결력과 관련 변인의 관계에 대하여 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the cognitive correlates of 3rd-grades in mathematical word problems and to compare cognitive correlates between students with mathematical difficulties and students without difficulties. Third grades(N = 353) were measured on Maze, attention, working memory, processing speed, vocabulary as well as algorithmic computation and mathematical word problems. Multiple regression analysis indicated that algorithmic computation, Maze, vocabulary and processing speed had positive influences on mathematical word problems. According to the result from path analysis, algorithmic computation, Maze and vocabulary influenced mathematical word problems for students without mathematical difficulties. However, for students with mathematical difficulties, the predictors of mathematical word problems were algorithmic computation and vocabulary. Implications from these results and suggestions for follow-up studies were discussed.
