ICF에 준거한 장애인의 자립생활 수준과 영향요인 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애인의 자립생활 수준과 자립생활에 미치는 영향요인을 탐색하여 학령기 장애학생의 진로직업 교육을 위한 지도지침 또는 복지정책 구안 시 유용한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있었다. 조사 대상자는 부산, 울산, 경남지역에 거주하고 있는 성인장애인 268명이며 단순표집법에 의해 선정하였다. 조사지는 WHO(2001)가 공표한 ICF((International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health) 활동과 참여 분류체계에 준거하여 연구 목적에 알맞게 척도를 구안하였으며, 수집된 자료의 분석을 통해 도출된 주된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애인의 자립생활 전체 수준은 전반적으로 높게 나타났으며, 여가활동 조직에 대한 자립생활 수준이 가장 높고, 직업기반 형성에 대한 자립생활 수준이 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 배경변인별에 따른 장애인의 자립생활 수준은 일상생활 도움 정도, 월평균 수입, 장애등급, 고용기간, 직업관련 자격증, 현재 직장 유무 변인에 따른 차이가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 장애인의 자립생활에 영향을 미치는 요인은 장애인의 장애등급이 경도일수록, 독립적으로 일상생활 수행이 가능할수록, 현재 직장이 있거나 직업관련 자격증이 있을수록 영향력이 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 학령기 장애학생의 진로직업 교육과정 적용 시 또는 장애인의 자립생활을 지원하기 위한 복지정책 서비스 실행 시 중요한 근거 자료를 제시하고 후속연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the factors affecting on the independent living of the individuals with disabilities to offer the important information to guide the vocational education for the students with disabilities and the policies on the welfare for the individuals with disabilities. To this end, 268 subjects were required to complete the questionnaire designed by using the 'activities and participation' of ICF. The results were as follows. First, the level of independent living of individuals with disabilities was more or less high, in particular, the level of the organizing the leisure activities domain was high, but the level of the facilitating the basic ability for career domain was low. Second, there were statistically significant differences among variables such as the level of being helped, income level, disability grade, period of being employed, status of license, and the status of employment. Finally the factors influencing on the independence living of individuals with disabilities were the disability grade, status of ability for the daily activities, and the status of employment and license. Based on these results, various policies for welfare and services to support the independent living of individuals with disabilities were suggested.
