영문 초록

The searching for what is hidden(索隱) is a major part of the studies of Chinese narrative in Korea. It collects Chinese novels which had not been found and puts them in order. There are group of researchers who engaged in that field and had an excellent results. Choe Yongchul, one of the outstanding scholars in Honglou meng, has been interested in the exchanges and influences of the ancient novels between China and Korea since the mid-1990s. Park Jaeyeon constantly discovered many ancient novels and published them. The amount of his publications made other scholars stunned. Min Kwandong and Zheng ok-gen advanced the influx and influence of the ancient novels published in the Chosun dynasty. Kim, Jang-hwan went on the philological reseaches more about the separate works mainly focused on Shishuo xinyu(『世說新語』) rather than introducing the new materials, but recently he has devoted himself in translating the ancient novels. The achievements of them is the providing of primary materials about ancient novels. But their inclination for the value-free attitude is the most prominent feature, and consequently they can not help falling into the positivism. The positivism means the researches without an arguments. We cannot expect any advances in the field of Chinese novels without debating and the creating agendas. I think that is the crucial point which they have to get through.
