국문 초록

이 연구는 초등학교 고학년 일반학생들을 대상으로 학생들의 다문화적 경험이나 행위를 돌아볼 수 있도록‘반성’에 초점을 둔‘반성적 다문화교육 프로그램’을 개발하고자 한 것이다. 연구 내용은 첫째, 프로그램의 목적 및 목표 수립, 둘째, 내용 영역의 구성, 셋째, 반성에 기초한 교수학습 방법 탐구, 마지막으로 이를 연계한 반성적 다문화교육 프로그램의 개발이다. 이론적 탐색 결과를 토대로‘나에 대한 이해(정체성)’,‘나와 다른 사람들에 대한 이해와 존중(다양성)’, 편견과 차별의 지양 및 공정과 공평의 지향(사회 정의)을 주요 내용 영역으로 하여 각각 하위 5차시씩 총 15차시의 프로그램을 개발하였고, 각 차시별 수업과정은‘반성’을 토대로 직면하기, 돌아보기, 재구성하기, 실천의지 다지기 및 실천하기를 기본으로 하여 구성하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 초등학교 고학년용 반성적 다문화교육 프로그램이, 이후 초등학교 저학년 혹은 중학교와 연계된 프로그램 개발 및 적용연구에 주요 토대가 될 수 있기를 기대한다

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop multicultural education program focusing on students' reflective thinking. The objectives, main contents and teaching-learning methods which are appropriate to this reflective multicultural program are studied. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; First, the objectives of the program are established based on the concepts 'identity', 'diversity', and 'social justice'. Second, the contents of the program are identified according to the objectives, such as understanding of oneself, deep understanding and respect for another person's culture, and even-mindedness/nondiscrimination. Third, the teaching and learning processes of reflective multicultural lessons are identified as comprising of four stages, those are 'facing on problems', 'looking back on actions', 'reconstruction of multi-cultural perception and attitude', and 'practicing the willingness of action and trial'. Finally, based on these research results, 15 units of reflective multicultural program are developed(5 units for each concept such as identity, diversity, and social justice) based on ALACT Model. The further studies, such as the study on effectiveness of the program and the development for the middle school students for the continuity with this program are expected to be performed for the authentic and deep change of students' multicultural recognition and attitude.
