국문 초록

이 연구는 1950년대 후반의 학교모습을 다루고 있는 이문열의 소설 「우리들의 일그러진 영웅」, 1980년대 후반의 학교모습을 다루고 있는 최시한의 소설 「모두 아름다운 아이들」, 그리고 2010년대의 학교 모습을 다루고 있는 드라마 「학교 2013」에 나타난 학교질서의 변화와 학생참여양상을 분석하였다. 분석 틀로는 학교를 사회의 권력과 통제가 재맥락화되는 장으로 본 Bernstein의 ‘분류화(classification)’와 ‘구조화(framing)’의 개념, 학생참여의 유형을 활용하였다 「우리들의 일그러진 영웅」과 「모두 아름 다운 아이들」에서는 ‘도구적 질서(학업질서)’와 ‘표현적 질서(생활질서)’에서 모두 ‘닫힌 학교’의 유형을 확인할 수 있다. 이 중「모두 아름다운 아이들」에서는 새로운 학교질서를 형성하고자 하는 인물이 등장하지만 그것이 개인의 고립적 실천에 머물러 있는 시대적 한계를 확인할 수 있다. 반면 「학교 2013」에서는 교사와 학생 사이의 관계성의 변화와 임파워먼트 형성을 통해 ‘닫힌 학교’가 일정 부분 ‘열린 학교’로 변화할 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to analyze the change of school’s order and the students’ engagement shown in the late 1950's novel “Our Twisted Hero,” in the late 1980's novel “All Beautiful Children,” and in the 2010's drama “School 2013,” all of which covers contemporary school issues. The main framework of analysis was conducted in terms of B. Bernstein’s theory on the conception of “classification” and “framing”, and the typology of student participation, whose point of view was to regard the school as a recontextualized field of social power and control. In the "Our Twisted Hero" and “All Beautiful Children”, it was noticed that the type of “closed school” in both “instrumental order (study order)” and “expressive order (living order)” can be seen. In the “All Beautiful Children”, despite the fact that there was a character who tried to form a new school order, the study assumed the restriction of the times, considering that this attempt remained just an isolated action of individual. On the other hand, in the “School 2013”, by developing empowerment and changing the relationship between the teacher and students, the potential possibility to shift from “closed school” to “partly open school” was observable.
