영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to meet an insufficient lodging demand for 2002 Asian game & World cup and to show the chain plan for the expansion of the budget tourist hotel which has the international level in terms of convenience and service through presenting chain plan for the budget tourist hotels. To achieve the purpose of this study, literature study is done, and status analysis towards current budget hotels is done. Overall result of the study is as follows; First, work for improving image towards medium-sized hotels is required and for this step, developing brand & PK is urgently needed. Second, training regarding service & management for the owners of the budget hotels through chain plan because most of the owners tend to manage hotels by themselves Third, it is better to expand chairLS by renovation of the current budget hotels than to built new hotels based upon modeling of the budget hotels. Fourth, referral group management and franchise management that guarantees the individual management is the most proper management type for the chain plan of budget hotel. Fifth, chain development by domestic brand after obtaining know-how from overseas brand through short-term contract can be considered. Sixth, training for the chain hotel business regarding marketing, public relations and management method is constantly needed. Seventh, it is very important to establish chain hotel reservation system and tourism information system for the effective management of the chain and conveniences for the tourists. The limitation of this study is that the research related to the specific management model regarding the chain formation of the budget hotel is not dealt in this study.
