외식 프랜차이즈 본부의 리더십 유형이 가맹점과의 관계결속에 미치는 영향과 리더-멤버 교환관계(LMX)의 조절효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 외식 프랜차이즈 본부의 리더십 유형이 가맹점과의 관계결속에 미치는 영향과 두변수 사이에서 리더-멤버 교환관계의 조절효과를 검증하고자, 수도권(서울·인천·경기) 소재 외식 프랜차이즈 가맹점을 소유 및 운영하고 있는 점주와 점장을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 144명의 데이터를 수집하고 SPSS 18.0을 사용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 프랜차이즈 본부의 변혁적 리더십 중 지적자극과 동기부여, 거래적 리더십의 상황적 보상과 예외적 관리, 서번트 리더십이 가맹점과의 관계결속에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 프랜차이즈 본부의 리더십 유형과 가맹점과의 관계결속에서 리더-멤버 교환관계(LMX)는 조절역할을 하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 시사점을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of franchisers`` leadership types in food service industry on relational commitment with franchisees. To verify the hypotheses, 144 questionnaires were collected from owners and managers of franchised restaurants in Seoul, Inchon, and Gyunggi Province. The data were analyzed using the statistical package of SPSS 18.0. The results showed that franchisor``s intellectual stimulation and motivation factors of transformational leadership had influence on relational commitment, and that contingent rewards factor of transactional leadership had positive influence whereas exceptional management had negative influence on relational commitment. And it was found that servant leadership had positive influence on relational commitment, however, Leader Member Exchange(LMX) had no moderating effect on the relationship between franchisers`` leadership types and relational commitment with franchisees. Based on those findings, the implications of the study were presented accordingly.
