노인의 재가복지서비스 이용의향 결정요인에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 1998년 한국보건사회연구원에서 조사한 전국노인 생활실태 자료 (정경희 외, 1998)를 이용하여 노인의 재가복지서비스 이용의향에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. Andersen and Newman의 행동주의 모델(Behavioral Model)을 토대로 하여, 노인의 소인요인(predisposing), 가능성요인(enabling), 욕구요인(need)이 가정봉사원서비스ㆍ단기보호서비스ㆍ주간보호서비스 이용의향에 영향을 미치는 것으로 설정하였다. 로짓분석 결과, 가정봉사원서비스 이용의향에는 소인요인인 노인의 연령 및 교육수준, 가능성요인인 자녀와의 동거여부 및 가구소득, 서비스에 대한 인지도, 욕구요인인 주관적 건강상태가 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 단기보호서비스 이용의향에는 소인요인인 노인의 연령 및 교육수준, 가능성요인인 자녀와의 동거여부 및 가구소득이 영향을 미치고, 욕구요인은 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 주간보호서비스 이용의향에는 소인요인인 노인의 성ㆍ연령 및 교육수준, 가능성요인인 자녀와의 동거여부, 욕구요인인 일상생활수행능력(ADL: Activities of Daily Living)이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론에서는 본 연구 결과가 가지는 함의와 연구의 제한점에 대해 논하였다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to find out which factors influence older adults' utilization determinants of community care services, using data 'A Survey of Older Adults in Korea' conducted by Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs (Chung, et al, 1998). Based on the Behavioral Model of Andersen and Newman, predisposing factors, enabling factors, and need factors are hypothesized to affect older adults' utilization determinants of home help services, short-stay care services and day care services. Analyses of logit regression show that significant factors of older adults' utilization determinants of home help services are predisposing factors (age and education attainment of older adults), enabling factors (co-residence with children and household income, awareness of home help services), and a need factor (subjective health status). In contrast, older adults' utilization determinants of short-stay care services are influenced by predisposing factors (age and education attainment of older adults) and enabling factors (co-residence with children and household income). All three factors such as predisposing factors (sex, age, and education attainment of older adults), an enabling factor (co-residence with children), and a need factor (activities of daily living) are found to have an impact on older adults' utilization determinants of day care services. Finally, summary and limitations of this paper are presented.
