신변탄식류 규방가사 <쳥ᄉᆞᆼ가>를 통해 본여성적 글쓰기의 의미

국문 초록

탄식가류 규방가사는 불행한 결혼생활, 남편과의 사별, 늙음에 대한 탄식, 여성으로서 느끼는 회한 등 삶으로부터 촉발된 다양한 애환을 탄식조로 토로한 작품군이다. 본 논문은 신변탄식류 규방가사가 자신의 일생을 서술하기 위해 채용하고 있는 기억과 재현의 방식에 주목하여, 작품 구조안에서 이러한 서술방식이 갖는 기능과 의미를 탐색하고자 하였다. 나아가 이와 같은 기억과 재현의 서술이 여성적 글쓰기의 한 특성으로서 남성과는 다른 목소리를 나타내고 있으리라 믿고 궁극적으로는 이른바 '여성적 글쓰기'의 한 방식을 탐구해보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 <쳥ᄉᆞᆼ가>라는 구체적인 작품의 텍스트를 중심으로 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 사실을 확인할 수 있었다. 탄식이 탄식만으로 드러내는 것이 아니라, 성장-혼인-신행-이별 등 자신의 일생 가운데 주요한 사건을 들어 탄식의 감정을 보다 효과적으로 토로하고 있다. 그런데 이때의 일생사는 순차적으로서가 아니라 개개인의 특성에 따라 매우 주관적으로 구획되고 전개된다. 탄식은 정서적인 토로에만 그치지 않고 경험된 서사의 내용 뒤에 자기 고백적인 진술이 뒤따르는 전개방식을 취하고 있는데, 이러한 방식은 화자의 내면적 슬픔과 원통함을 보다 효과적으로 드러내고 있다. 이렇게 <쳥ᄉᆞᆼ가>를 통해 드러난 기억과 재현의 방식은 남성작 가사와 다양한 측면에서 차이를 보임으로써(주관적 시간의 구획/객관적 시간의 지표, 직접인용의 빈번한 제시/간접 인용의 제시, 일생의 회고/혼인과 관련된 사실만을 회고), 여성적 글쓰기와 남성적 글쓰기가 어떻게 대비되는지에 대한 실마리를 던져준다. 다른 한편으로, 화자의 개인적인 체험을 담고 있으면서 동시에 여성 공동의 집단적 체험을 반영하고 있다는 점도 여성적 글쓰기의 한 특성임을 발견할 수 있었다. 그러나 이 논문은 탄식가류 규방가사 가운데 <쳥ᄉᆞᆼ가> 한 작품만을 중점적으로 다루고, 나머지 작품들은 부분적인 예로서만 다루었다는 한계를 갖는다.

영문 초록

There are a lot of types in Kyubang Kasa, but all those show women's consciousness about their lives. Among them, a special type named 'Tansikga-ryu'(song for deep grief/lamentation) deal with women's deep grief about being women losing husband or children, separating from their own family, etc. This type shows women's life in those days, women's distress under the traditional patriarchal system and the Confucianism of chosun Dynasty. But now we should notice their everyday affliction as much as the social structure which oppressed them. As this essay deal with women's experiences and feminine identity represented in the texts, I take interested in the writing mode of self narrative by women. I emphasized the importance and meaning of narratives-especially remembrance and retrospect, representation of past. Therefore I found that the writing mode of showed subjectivity when the writer took the incidents from the past. a mixed weaver of confession and remembrance. These mean that women's writing is different from men's writing in their way of designing their past and feelings. Women are tend to retrospect their whole life, to remember their special moments very subjectively(like when I was pretty, when he got ill, when he died. /Men are tend to remember and write the exact year like in 1887, in the year of tiger.) Women are tend to confess their deep grief not separately but in addition to special incidents. As the structure of the text, they rather show us the expression of disorder and intricacy. It is because of the everyday afflicts they faced. These made them in competent, adapt to circumstances, and deprive them of the insight of genuine life. So women feel the inconsistency and stifling but they can't structure those organically, not because of deficiency or lack of introspection. Besides the differences from men's writing, shows that women's writing is not individual/personal but collective. In I could find some special moments like happy childhood, love at first sight and wedding day. All of them are special but universal incidents in women's life. Women in those days shared their life and feeling by writing and reading 'Tansikga-ryu' Kasa, so when they wrote, they are tend to choose the universal incidents to share feeling more easily, deeply. In order to find and present the more precise, valuable issues, we have to analysis the each text, to find something in common in 'Tansikga-ryu' Kasa, and to compare this to men's writing.
