예비노년층의 여가활동 현황 및 미래 욕구에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 예비노년층인 50대 중년층의 여가활동 현황 및 현재와 미래의 욕구를 파악하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 조사대상자는 수도권에 거주하고 있는 50대 중년층 남녀로 범위를 설정하여 설문조사를 실시하였고, 수집된 자료 중 최종 120부에 대하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 예비노년층의 현재 여가활동 시간은 주중 21시간이 가장 높은 비율을 보임으로 평균 하루 4시간 이상을, 주말에는 평균 6-10시간을 여가활동에 소요하는 것으로 나타났다. 주중과 주말 모두 산책, TV시청, 등산, 골프, 종교활동 등이 높은 빈도를 보였으며, 주중에는 헬스나 독서, 주말에는 친지/친구방문 등의 여가활동이 더 많이 일어나는 것으로 조사되었다. 여가만족도는 월가구총 수입, 주중 여가시간, 월 여가비용에 따라 통계적으로 유의적인 차이를 보여, 경제적 비용과 시간이라는 측면이 예비노년층의 여가만족도 증진과 관련된 중요요인임을 알 수 있었다. 현재 가장 원하는 여가활동유형으로는 해외여행 및 골프와 더불어 자기개발 및 체험형 여가활동에의 욕구가 높았으며, 미래의 여가욕구는 이에 더하여 종교활동 및 사회봉사 활동 등과 같은 사회적 관계 및 노후의 고독감을 해소하고 사회에 기여할 수 있는 활동들에 대한 욕구가 높게 나타났다. 이에 대해 다양한 여가욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 여가상품의 개발 및 사회봉사 활성화 방안이 필요하며, 여가자원 및 여가기회의 평준화를 위한 노인복지 측면의 사회적, 제도적 지원이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the current leisure activities of the pre-elderly and their future needs for the activities. The subjects of this study were 120 people in their fifties, and frequency analysis, chi-square, t-tests, analysis of variance, and Duncan tests were mainly employed for data analysis. The major analysis results were as follows: First, the largest number of the subjects spent 21 hours or more during weekdays, which were translated average four hours or more a day. Most of them invested six to ten hours on average on leisure activities every weekend. The patterns of popular leisure activities included sports and health-related activities, TV watching, and religious programs during weekdays. The ratio of social activities was relatively larger than leisure activities on weekends. Second, the most desired pattern of leisure activities was a trip overseas, which was followed by playing golf, attending an opera/concert, and doing yoga. And it was apparent that they reflected their huge desire for self-cultivation in the leisure activities. Third, the level of leisure satisfaction was statistically significant with monthly family income, weekly leasure time, and monthly leasure expenditure: time and expenses should be the important aspects to promote the leisure satisfaction of the pre-elderly. Fourth, for the future leisure activities, they chose such activities as could promote interpersonal relationships and enhance their social roles. They also added more social leisure activities to the list of their future ones when there was no restriction. It is thus necessary to develop leasure products and voluntary activities in order to satisfy various leasure needs of the elderly. Their accessibilities toward the leasure resources and opportunities should be ensured as well.
