장애성인의 자아수용 특성연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 장애인들이 그들이 체험하는 가치, 태도 문화적 경험에 대한 의견과 선호를 파악하여 자신의 장애를 어떻게 수용하고 있는지 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 성인 지체장애인과 감각장애인을 대상으로, 자신의 경험과 다양한 생각들이 결합된 주관적인 인식과, 사람 사이의 상관관계를 찾아내는 Q 방법론을 적용하였다. 연구결과 유형 Ⅰ은 적극적 수용형태로, 자신이 좀 느리고 불편하기는 하지만, 사회생활을 함에 있어서 일반인과 다르지 않다고 생각하고 자아존중감이 높다. 유형 Ⅱ는 의존적 수용형태로, 자기 가치에 대한 전반적인 평가가 낮고 자신의 능력과 성공에 대한 기대도 낮다. 유형 Ⅲ은 소극적 수용형태로, 자신의 장애를 받아들이고 있다. 유형간 비교에서 장애극복 의지와 자신에 대한 믿음, 자신감, 환경요인과 타인들의 선입견에 대한 생각, 통합과 결혼에 대해 적극적 수용형태는 매우 그렇다고, 의존적 수용형태는 아니라고, 소극적 수용형태는 중간정도의 답을 함으로써 유형간의 차이를 나타냈다.

영문 초록

This study departs from inquiry about how people with disabilities accept self disabilities and problem awareness about the opinion and preference on the meanings that various value, attitude, cultural experience of people with disabilities give to themselves. For achievement of this research purpose, this study applied Q research methods to search the correlation between people with disabilities and their subjective awareness that self experience and various thinking were combined, targeting adult physical disabilities and sensory disabilities. The research results are as follows. TypeⅠ appeared as form of positive acceptance. This study showed that adults with disabilities thought they were little slow and uncomfortable but they were not different from normal person and they had high self-respects. TypeⅡ appeared as form of dependent acceptance. This study showed the people with disabilities made value evaluation about themselves lowly and had low expectation on their capability and the success. TypeⅢ appeared as defensive acceptance. Most of people with disabilities accepted their disabilities. But they could not afford to look around them and didn’t overcome their psychological problem sufficiently, because they were absorbed in their problems. At comparison between types, the participants answered as ‘very good’ on the overcoming will of disabilities, belief about themselves, self-confidence, thinking on the prejudice of environmental factors and others, positive acceptance on the inclusion and marriage. They answered as ‘no’ on the dependent acceptance, and answered as ‘normal’ on the passive acceptance. Therefore this study showed there were difference between types
