국문 초록

본 연구는 노모와 성인딸/며느리간의 상호원조유형이 자녀의 부양부담도와 어떠한 관계를 맺고 있는가를 분석하였다. 자료는 노모를 모시고 사는 성인딸/며느리 220명에게 질문지를 통하여 수집되었다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전반적으로 노모는 자녀에게 의존적이나 자신이 자원을 가진 경우 자녀에게 도움을 주면서 살고 있다. 둘째, 상호원조의 유형에 있어 가장 일방적인 관계는 경제적 영역이며, 가장 쌍방적인 관계는 정서적 영역이다. 세째, 양자 모두 자신이 어느정도의 자원이 있을 때 상대방에게 도움을 주었다. 네째, 자녀자신이 가지고 있는 자원을 노모에게 제공하는 것은 부담도와 큰 상관이 없는 반면 어머니가 자녀에게 주는 도움은 자녀의 부담감을 낮춘다. 마지막으로, 상호 정서적 원조가 많이 이루어지고 격차가 적을수록 자녀의 부담도는 낮아졌다. 본 연구 결과 성인여자녀들은 효의식도 있지만, 자기가 부양하면서 들이는 공과 더불어 노모가 자기에게 돌려주는 보상도 있어야 부양부담감을 덜 느낀다는 것을 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of mutual-support and burden between elderly mothers and their daughters /daughters-in-law on caregiving burden. The questionnaire made by reviewing literature were distributed to 250 adult daughters living with their elderly mothers in Seoul. 220 married women were used for the final analysis. Data analysis making use of SPSS computer program were Frequency, Percentile, ANOVA, F-test, Perason's Correlation Analysis, and Multiple Regression Analysis. The result of this study can be summarized as follows. First, although elderly mothers were dependent with their daughters in general, they tended to give their resouces to their daughters if possible. Second, whereas economic support was provided from daughters to mathers, mutual aid was provided in the emotional sense of support. Third, the more they had resources, the more they provided support for the other. Fourth, whereas there is no relationship between daughters' support and their caregiving burden, there is a significant relationship between mothers' support and daughters' caregiving burden. Finally, the mutal aid of emotional sense was emerged as the strongest factor decreasing daughters' burden of caregiving.
