장애신입대학생들의 고등학교에서 제공받았던 대학 진학관련 전환교육 및 서비스에 대한 인식 조사

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애학생들의 성공적인 고등교육의 전환을 위해서 고등학교에서의 대학 진학 관련 전환교육 및 서비스에 대한 장애학생들이 인식하는 중요 정도, 고등학교에서 대학 진학 관련 전환교육 및 서비스를 교육받았던 정도, 그리고 고등학교에서 교육 받았던 대학 진학 관련 전환교육 및 서비스에 대한 만족 정도를 평가하고자 하였다 본 연구 대상자는 2012학년도 장애인을 위한 대학입학 특별전형을 통해 들어온 상위 100위권의 4년제 대학에서 한 학기를 보낸 장애를 가진 대학신입생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과에 따르면 장애학생들은 고등학교에서의 대학 진학 관련 전환교육 및 서비스가 중요하다고 생각하였다 하지만 장애학생들은 자신들이 생각하는 중요 정도에 비해 고등학교에서 교육받았던 대학 진학 관련 전환교육 및 서비스는 부족하였으며, 고등학교에서 제공 받았던 대학 진학 관련 전환교육 및 서비스에 대해서도 만족하지 못하였다고 보고하였다. 장애학생들의 개인적 특성(성별, 장애영역, 소속학교급, 학교순위)에 따라 고등학교에서의 대학 진학 관련 전환교육 및 서비스에 대한 중요 정도, 교육받았던 정도, 그리고 받았던 교육에 대한 만족 정도에 대한 인식 차이는 성별 변인을 제외한 나머지 변인들에서 유의미한 차이는 없었다.

영문 초록

Since Korea Special Education Promotion Act required high education institutes to accept students with disabilities through a special admission program in 1995, there have been an increasing number of students with disabilities entering colleges. The transition education and services provided by secondary schools become more important than before in order to make a successful transition into higher education for students with disabilities. This study was designed to investigate students' ratings of the perceived level of how important they consider transition education and services related to college preparation, how much they receive transition education and services related to college preparation provided from secondary schools, and how satisfied they feel regarding the received education and services. The targeted participants were freshmen with disabilities who enrolled in top 100 universities through the special admission program. The results of the data solicted from 207 surveys indicated that students with disabilities considered transition education and services important. However, they perceived that the transition education and services related to college preparation provided by secondary schools were not enough as well as they were dissatisfied with the received education and services. Also, the results indicated that there was a significant difference between genders in the perceptions of the extent of the received education and services and satisfaction with such education and services. However, there were no significant differences in their perceptions of transition education and services related to college preparation by types of disabilities, types of high schools, and school rankings.
