디카시의 상상력과 소통

국문 초록

다양한 매체의 발달로 인해 문자중심의 문학에도 새로운 시도들이 일어나기 시작했다. 요즘 시 갈래의 하나로 자리 잡은 디카시도 그러한 실험정신의 하나이다. 문학의 위기, 시의 위기의식은 시대를 막론하고 그 방식이나 형식이 조금씩 다를 뿐 있어왔던 것이 사실이다. 시의 위기의식은 여러 가지 영향에서 온 것이겠지만 무엇보다도 영상매체의 발달에 영향을 받은 것이라는 인상이 깊다. 따라서 본고에서는 매체의 영향으로 대두되어 시 갈래의 하나로 자리 잡은 디카시의 상상력과 소통에 대해 살피고자 한다. 디카시는 자연이나 사물에서 시적형상을 순간적으로 포착하여 영상프레임으로 가져와 문자로 재현한 것이다. 디지털카메라(핸드폰 카메라)를 통한 시 쓰기는 문학에 있어서 새로운 실험정신과 출구를 제시했다. 따라서 텍스트를 생산해 내는 것은 시인이 아니라 문자라는 일차적 재료를 바탕으로 하여 디지털 카메라가 생산해 내는 것이다. 카타리는 이것을 ‘기계적 무의식’의 생산이라고 말했다. 디카시는 액정화면의 제약으로 인해 압축적이며, 극서정성을 띠고 있다. 압축미는 독자로 하여금 여백을 상상력으로 채우게 하는 효과를 줌으로써 의미를 확대할 수 있다. 또한 문자의 정박성을 포괄하는 감각의 신체확장을 꾀한다. 하지만 완전히 영상과 문자가 한 몸을 이룬다고 볼 수 없는 한계 또한 발견되고 있다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해서 디카시는 구술성과 영상이미지의 결합을 시도해야 진정한 멀티미디어를 구현할 수 있을 것이다. 더불어 시는 다양한 매체의 활용으로 실시간 독자들에게 전달되어 쌍방향성을 이루며, 미는 보편화 되고 대중화 된다. 따라서 디카시는 시의 위기를 극복하고자 하는 실험정신이며, 문학적 대안으로 보인다. 나아가 문학을 다채롭게 이끌 수 있을 것으로 전망되고 있어서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The development of a variety of media has brought new attempts to text-driven literature. Dica poetry established as a part of poetry stands in the center of those attempts. In fact, the consciousness of crisis in poetry has been always existing in slightly different forms regardless of the era. The consciousness of crisis in poetry is due to many reasons, yet it seems that it is most likely because of the development of media. Thus, this study has dealt with the imagination and communication of Dica poetry that has emerged thanks to the influence of the media and now is established as a part of poetry. Dica poems capture poetic images from the nature or objects momentarily and bring them in video frames and then reproduces them in texts. Writing poems with digital cameras (mobile phone camera) brought new experimental spirit or new exits to the literature. In this regards, the texts are produced not by poets but by digital cameras based upon the texts as primary materials. To borrow the words of Qatari, it is the production of ‘mechanical unconsciousness’. Poets liberate words and a world in which ‘the death of authors’, the deconstruction of texts, and a slip of signifier have been realized. Dica poems have pole lyricism due to the compressed beauty from the constraint in the LCD screen. Compressed beauty makes readers fill the margins with their imagination and expand the signification. Furthermore, the combination between the ideality of texts and the sensitivity of video images generates a synergy effect. Yet, video images and texts cannot form a one complete body. To overcome this limitation and realize true multimedia, Dica poetry needs to combine orality and video images. Moreover poetry is delivered to readers and forms bilateralness, and beauty becomes common and popularized by taking advantage of various media. Thus, Dica poetry is the spirit of experimentation to overcome the crisis of poetry and is seen as a literary alternative. Futhermore, it has the significance in that it is expected to be able to lead the literature diversely.
