현대 러시아 영화의 정교성 재현 양상

국문 초록

현대 러시아 영화계에서는 러시아 정교성을 구현하는 다양한 양상의 영화들이 관측된다. 그 중 한편은 정치제도권의 열렬한 후원을 받으며 메인스트림으로 편입한 일군의 영화들로, 현 러시아 정부가 내세우는 국가통치 이념의 근간으로 정교정신을 선전하고 설파하는 영화들이다. 이 영화들에서 제시하는 ‘이념적 정교성’은 러시아 통치 권력에 대한 정당성의 근거로 활용되며, 정교정신으로 무장한 지도자와 영웅들이 러시아 국가 공동체를 지켜온 주역임을 공공연히 암시한다. 그러한 영화의 사례로 본 연구에서는 <1612년. 동란의 연대기>와 <사제>의 경우를 고찰했다. 전자가 러시아 정교에 기반한 통치력과 권좌의 상실이 가져올 수 있는 위험과 경각심을 대중들에게 일깨워주고 있다면, 후자는 현재 유대관계가 약해지고 있는 러시아 ‘서쪽’의 발틱 국가들에 대해 과거 러시아 정교회와 러시아 정신이 치른 희생과 사랑을 부각시킴으로써 러시아적 국가이념을 확장시키고 있다. 하지만 이러한 국가주의 영화들의 시각을 비판하며 러시아 대중들의 삶 속에 뿌리내린 진정한 정교정신을 구현하고 상기시키려는 영화들도 적지 않다. 그러한 영화들로 <러시아적인 것>, <살아남은 자>, <차르>를 꼽을 수 있다. 이 영화들에서는 국가통치 기반으로서의 정교성보다는 진실한 회복의 정신으로서의 러시아 정교정신에 대해 강조하거나, 정교정신이 권력의 수단으로 악용될 경우의 위험성과 재앙에 대해 경고하며 비판적 시각을 드러내고 있다.

영문 초록

In contemporary Russian cinema we can observe various aspects of representation of Russian Orthodoxness. The cinema includes, above all, the contemporary social and cultural historicity of the time when it is made, because the cinema is exposing the spirit of producing time. In this respect, analysis of the film should be considered in all aspects of not only the director's idea and message, but also social and cultural context. Moreover, to appreciate Russian cinema appropriately, in advance must be understood significant meaning which contains cultural context. Most intriguingly of all, in contemporary Russian cinema the mainstream movies propagate the Orthodox spirit as a basis of ideology of Russian government. In these movies the 'ideological Orthodoxness' is made the most out of political legitimacy of administration, overtly implying that the leaders and heroes who arms with the Orthodox spirit are the driving forces in the community of Russian nations. We explained in this article by giving such films for example, like 1612. Khroniki Smutnogo Vremeni (2007) and Pop(2010). While the former alerts peoples to the crisis of powerless of the state and Orthodoxness, the latter expands in the Baltic republics the ideology of Russian government by attempting to play up the past sacrifice and love of Russian Orthodox. But in contemporary Russian cinema exist not only movies of 'National order', but also resistance films in which represent real and faithful Russian Orthodoxness. Films like Russkoe(2004), Zhivoy(2006) and Tsar (2009) may be classed as such. In these films are worthy of notice those point of views that emphasizes how important it is to restore sincere faith and the Orthodox spirit and how dangerous when religion is abused.
