국문 초록

본 논문은 러시아 문학의 메카역할을 했던 소위 ‘두꺼운 잡지’에 게재된 현대 문학에 대한 비평을 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 그럼으로써 현대 러시아 문학과 관련한 주요 쟁점이 무엇인지를 파악해보고자 한다. 이는 2000년대 비평의 핵심 논쟁과 함께 현대 러시아 문학을 주도하는 비평가와 작가, 주목받고 있는 작품에 대한 정보와 지식의 확장을 꾀하기 위한 것이기도 하다. 한편 본 논문은 2000년대(2001-2009) 주요 문예지에 실린 비평을 고찰하는 과정의 일부이다. 본 논문에서 고찰하고 있는 글은 2001년 발행된 <깃발>, <신세계>, <10월>에 게재된 현대 러시아 산문에 대한 문학 비평들이다. 그것을 주제에 따라각기 세 가지 주요 쟁점으로 분류하여 그 핵심 내용을 살피고 있다. 이에 근거한 결론을 간략하게 요약한다면, 현대 러시아 문학 비평은 포스트모더니즘의 흐름을 타고 문학성보다는 획기적인 것에 집착하거나, 혹은 출판자본의 상업적 메커니즘 속에서 보장되는 미적 자율성에 의존하고 있으며, 이로 인하여 실재의 핵심을 파고드는 끈질긴 성찰과 소설적 사유라는 문학 본연의 책임을 외면하고 있음을 천착하는데 집중되어 있다 하겠다. 이와 같은 논의는 추리, 판타지, 펜테지와 같은 장르문학의 부상을 하나의 대중문화 현상으로 거부감 없이 받아들이기는 하지만, 장르문학을 상투적인 사고와 이미지, 대중적 통념을 보여주는 저급한 대중문학과 변별시키고자 하는 비평의 원천이기도 하다. 결국 장르문학에 대한 올바른 이해를 주도하는 비평은 현대 문학이 대중문화와의 의식적인 긴장을 늦추지 않은 채 문학 고유의 형식과 과제를 지켜나가야 할 필요성을 역설하고 있는 것에 다름 아니다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate criticism on contemporary literatures published in , which has taken the role of “Mecca” for Russian literatures. By doing so, this study tried to investigate major issues related to contemporary Russian literatures. It is to expand information and knowledge on the critics, writers, works that lead contemporary Russian literatures, along with the key issues on the criticism in 2000s. This study also is a part of process to investigate criticism published in major literary magazines in 2000s (2001-2009). The articles that this thesis studied are the literary criticisms on Russian essays published in , , and in 2001. By classifying them into three major issues according to theme, this study reviewed the key content. Summarizing the conclusions based on this, the key point of contemporary literature criticism is to stick to innovative things along the postmodernism trend rather than literary properties or to find that the literatures have ignored persistent consideration and novelistic thoughts penetrating to the core, as they depended too much on esthetic autonomy guaranteed in commercial mechanism of publication capital. The criticisms that accept the emergence of genre literature like detective fiction or fantasy novel as one of pop culture without resistance and attempt to discriminate them from low-level popular literatures having conventional thoughts, images and popular common sense represent the necessity for protecting the inherent forms and tasks of literatures, not loosening the intentional tension with popular culture. This fact firmed the above conclusions more.
