조선시대 전통복식에 있어 면적비에 따른 배색구조

국문 초록

본 연구는 조선시대 복식에서 표본시료색을 추출하고, 이를 토대로 전통복식에서의 색채의 면적비와 색가의 자극값과의 상관관계를 수리적인 분석을 통하여 배색균형이 조화롭게 잘 이루어졌는지에 대한 배색구조의 특징을 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 방법면에서 오방색과 오간색, 잡색을 포함하는 전통색을 5계열로 분류하여 표본시료색을 추출하는 초기절차를 두었다. 이어서 배색구조에 있어서 자극값과 면적비의 비율을 역으로 적용되어야 배색균형을 이룬다는 새로운 분석적 관점을 가지고, 그레이브스의 색채면적계획과 뉴 모멘트 암 정식을 도입하여 정량적으로 검증하는 분석결과를 내었다. 그 결과 대부분의 복식에서 배색균형점에 근접하여 작은 변형으로 나타남으로써 복식의 배색에 있어서 배색균형을 염두에 두는 색채구성이 이루어졌음을 확인하였고, 부분적으로 복식의 용도에 따라 배색균형보다는 특정한 배색 성격이 강조되어 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 조선시대 복식의 배색 구조를 통하여 우리 민족이 즐겨 사용했던 색채의 미의식 속에는 색가의 자극값과 상관된 면적비가 고려된 균형 감각이 내재되어 작동하였음을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The study aims to systematically sample traditional colors found in ostume during the Joseon Dynasty and examine characteristics of a color scheme to see if distribution balance is in harmony based on mathematical analysis on correlations between area ratio of color and stimulus value of color value with regard to traditional costume. Toward this end, traditional colors of costume formed in textile based on coloring have been divided into five types including traditional green, red, yellow, white and black colors, traditional dark green, red, orange, violet and sulfurous yellow colors and various colors for sampling. Maitland Grave’s color plan and new moment arm have been officially introduced from a new analytical perspective that distribution balance can be achieved when stimulus value and area ratio are inversely applied in a color scheme in order to generate analytic al results based on quantitative verification. As a result, it has been found out that colors have been planned dominantly in consideration of distribution balance in terms of a color scheme for costume as minor changes occur close to a distribution balance point in most costume but that characteristics of a specific scheme has been more emphasized rather than distribution balance in accordance with the use of costume. In this regard, it has been confirmed that a sense of balance has worked in the area ratio related to stimulus value of a color value with regard to a color scheme intuitively inherent in aesthetic consciousness of Koreans through a color scheme structure of costume during the Joseon Dynasty.
