戦時下日本映画における田中絹代の表象変化研究

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 전시하의 일본영화가 구성해 낸 다나카 기누요의 표상과 그 변화 양상을 분석하고, 그 변화가 지닌 영화문화사적 의미를 밝히는 것이다. 일본 근현대 영화계의 대스타이자 일본 영화사를 대표하는 여배우 다나카 기누요가 데뷔 이래, 어떠한 궤적을 밟으면서 표상되었으며, 그 표상이 전쟁 이데올로기와 어떠한 방식으로 균열/봉합되었는가를 밝히는 이 연구는, 조선 여배우들의 그것과 비교할 수 있는 참조가 된다는 점에서 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다. ‘무개성의 개성’을 등에 업고, ‘연애하는 처녀’를 연기하던 그녀가, 멜로드라마적 신체로 모성과 연애를 봉합해내던 ‘연애현모’의 시기를 거쳐, ‘군국의 여인’ 혹은 ‘군국의 어머니’이라는 표상에 이르는 과정은 전시하 일본영화의 역사 그 자체를 상징하는 것이라 할 수 있다. 또한 식민본국의 영화사 안에서 영화와 전쟁 이데올로기의 결합이 본질적으로 불가능한 것임을 드러내주는 또 하나의 문화사적 예이기도 하다.

영문 초록

The aim of this paper is to find out the representation of Tanaka Kinuyo and its transition in Japanese cinema during the War(1931~1945), and is to analyze the film-cultural implication of it. Tanaka Kinuyo is the cinema star and the actress on behalf of the Japanese cinema history in modern period. This essay is that how her representation breaks with and stitches up the ideology of the War, accordingly this is a stepping stone for the comparison study with Korean actresses of colonial periods. She who has not the distinct personal character in the beginning, however, performed from the maid falling love to Ryosaikenbo that is composed of maternity and amour. And then, in the late stage of a war, she is represented the women of militant nation or the Mother of militant nation, and its process is a symbol of the history of Japanese cinema during the War. Besides, it affords a striking illustration of the fact that the substantial coherence of cinema and war ideology is impossible.
