영문 초록

This study attempts to interpret new approach about problem of researching Korean Bell. First of all, I suggest new materials like yong zhong(甬鍾) and bo zhong(鎛鍾) as an origin of Korean Bell. In order to examine bell shape of Three Kingdoms period, I compared Chinese bell with inscription Taijian 7th with gilt bronze small bell excavated at Mireuksa temple site. I proposed that Korea accepted Chinese bell through another route which was different from Japanese bell systematically from the beginning on he basis of two types of the early Chinese bell style like southern Johyeong bell(祖形鍾) and nothern Hayeop Bell(荷葉鍾). Also I reviewed nationality and production period of Jogyesa temple bell that was obstacle on study of Three Kingdoms period bell. I studied unique aspect of Korean Bell divided into six elements such as dragon-shaped hook, sound pipe, lotus frame, lotus petal, heavenly maiden, and striking point focusing on Sangwonsa temple bell(上院寺鍾) that was typical style of Korean Bell. In addition I researched value and significance of Sangwonasa temple bell in Korean bell history. Also I analyzed stylistic characteristic and inscription of Yeonjisa temple bell(蓮池寺鍾) which showed new aspects within a century after Sangwonsa temple bell, and looked into position and meaning of Yeonjisa temple bell in Korean Bell history. Yeonjisa temple bell showed transitional style changed a pair of heavenly maiden into one change did not open to public in Japan. So I precisely described survey information to use research resource of studying Korean bell.
