국문 초록

본 연구는 중풍장애노인의 우울증 관련요인을 성별에 따라 차이가 있는지를 분석하고 이에 따라 장애인 및 노인복지실천과 정책영역에서 우울증을 감소시킬 수 있는 서비스 개발에 적극 활용할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하기 위한 탐색적인 연구로서의 의의를 갖는다. 본 연구의 목적은 지역사회거주 중풍장애노인을 대상으로 성별에 따른 우울증을 신체, 심리 그리고 사회환경이론을 바탕으로 관련요인들을 분석하였다. 연구의 결과는 전체적으로 중풍장애노인의 우울증에 영향을 미치는 요인은 인구사회학적특성 중 종교의 유무, 교육의 정도, 경제수준, 일상생활수행능력이며, 생활스트레스 중 내적갈등, 가족갈등과 지역사회활동지원서비스인 의료재활 및 발달 욕구 서비스의 이용여부이었다. 이 중 남성중풍장애노인의 우울증 관련변인은 교육의 정도, 일상생활수행능력, 내적갈등과 의료재활서비스가 영향력 있는 변수로 나타났고, 반면 여성중풍장애노인의 우울증 관련 변인은 경제수준, 일상생활 수행능력, 내적갈등 및 가족갈등과 의료재활 및 발달 욕구서비스 이용여부가 영향력 있는 변수로 나타났다. 따라서 우울증 감소를 위한 예방 전략이나 지속적인 치료를 위한 프로그램 및 서비스는 성별에 따라 전략적으로 개발하는 것이 효과적일 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze gender differences in depression for elderly who are disabled by stoke dwelling in a community. The result of this study will be a meaningful exploration that would be helpful for policy makers and social workers in developing appropriate preventive strategies, as well as in providing knowledge about the depression treatment for elderly with disabilities. This study was developed based on biological, psychosocial theory to examine gender differences in contributions of risk factors to depression among elderly with stroke-related disabilities. The results of this study showed that risk factors to depression were sociodemographics; religion, education level, economic level, activities of daily living. Daily hassles such as internal conflict, family conflict, and services provided in a community such as medical rehabilitation services and collective social activities were also risk factors to depression The differences between men and women were level of education and economy, family conflict, and collective social activities. Therefore, effective and strategic development of social activities and programs provided by a community for different sex is necessary in order to reduce depression.
