국문 초록

경영환경이 글로벌라이징 하며 조직에서 집단작업과 집단성과에 대한 강조가 점점 더커지고 있다. 이에 저자는 연구자들이 이제까지의 개인수준에서의 모티베이션이 아닌 집단 모티베이션에 대한 관심을 가질 필요가 있다고 주장한다. 이제까지의 모티베이션 연구가 주로 개인 수준에서 이루어져 온 이유를 저자는 문화적 배경에서 찾고 집단 모티베이션 관련 연구를 검토하였다. 저자는 개인모티베이션과 집단 모티베이션의 개념을 규명하고, 집단 모티베이션 영향요인으로서 (1) 태스크워크 과정, (2) 팀워크 과정, (3) 팀상황 등으로 나누어 이제까지의 연구를 살펴보았다. 그리고 연구의 이론적 함의와 향후연구방향을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

As the management environment is getting globalized, the emphasis on the group work and group performance in the organization is increasing. The author asserts that researchers need to have more interests not in individual motivation that is proliferated so far but in group motivation from now on. The author found cultural backgrounds that caused motivations stay at individual levels and then reviewed group motivation studies. The author define the group motivation differentiated from the individual motivation. The author divided the studies into three groups, the first is taskwork processes including creative behavior, decision making, boundary spanning, the group efficacy and individual/group compensation as group motivation in the organization, the second is teamwork process including the work design as group motivation, and the last is team state including the cohesion, potency, mental model, and transactive memory as group motivation. The author presented several research topics about group motivation. And, theoretical and practical implications of the work and future research directions then were discussed.
