국문 초록

많은 나라들과 마찬가지로 루마니아의 성탄정과 새해에는 많은 다양한 축제가 벌어진다. 이중에서 콜린더는 사람들의 그해 기원과 소망을 빌어주는 아름다운 풍습이다. 로마에 기원을 둔 이 풍습은 서유럽에서는 종교적 전통의 크리스마스 캐럴로 계승되었지만 동유럽 특히 루마니아에서는 종교적 전통보다는 세속적，이교도적인 풍습이 강하게 이 전통에 남아있다. 따라서 루마니아의 콜린더에는 종교적 주제보다는 세속적인 행복을 빌어 주는 콜린더들이 많다. 방문하는 집 주인의 선행을 찬양하면서 새해의 농사에 대한 풍요를 빌어주는 콜린더와 결혼에 대한 희망과 관련하겨 청년들의 아름다움과 용맹성을 나타내는 콜린더， 처녀들의 근면함과 미래의 신랑에 대한 사랑， 모성 및 여자의 매력에 대해서 노래하고 있는 콜린더가 있 다. 청년에게 바쳐지는 콜린더가 주로 서술적이고 영웅적인 반면에 이 처녀 콜린더는 묘사적이며 그림 같은 문학이다. 이외에도 다양한 주제들을 담고 있는 루마니아 콜린더의 익명의 작가들은 루마니아 마을의 일상생활 을 예술적으로 훌륭하게 묘사하고 있으며 루마니아 사람들의 전통적인 문화와 정신의 원형을 보여주고 있다.

영문 초록

As all of the other countries, many various festivals are held at Christmas and many people are happily greeting the New Year in Romania. One among the other festive ceremonies of these big holidays ， Colinda (a kind of the Christmas carol) is a very beautiful custom which prays for people’s blessing and their wishes of the new year. This custom, which was originated from Rome, developed into the Christmas carol under the concept of the religious tradition in the Western Europe, but in the Eastern Europe, especially in Romania, this custom strongly suggests and expresses the aspect of popular and pagan practices rather than one of the religious traditions. Therefore, in Romania. many Colinda regard the happiness of the mundane world rather than the religious themes. For example. a Colinda wishes the agricultural abundances of the new year, praising highly the landlord's good conducts but at the same time. it also shows the intrepidity and grace of the young men connected with the hope of marriage, singing also the charm of women, the love for her bridegroom and virgins' diligences. The Colinda for young men is mainly descriptive, solemn and heroic. but on the other hand, the Colinda for maidens is depictive, delicate and picturesque. Beside these, there are many other kinds of Colinda which include various themes in Romania. Anonymous authors of these Colinda achieved success to describe picturesquely the everyday life of the Romanian rural communities in the mode of art and showed us the traditional culture and Romanian spiritual originality.
