국문 초록

체코어에서 상적 대립의 개념에 있어 완료상과 불완료상이 그 중추적 위 치를 차지하고 있으며, 형태론적 체계가 근간을 이루고 있지만, 넓은 의미 에서 상적 대립은 불완료상의 범주 내에서 다회성(násobenost) vs. 비다회 성(nenásobenost) 대립을 포함하고 있다. 다회성은 동작이나 상황의 내부 적 단계를 파악할 수 있는 특성으로써 대부분의 불완료체 동사들을 기저로 하여 접미사와 결합하여 다회성 동사들이 파생되는 특징이 있다. 그러나 완 료상의 범주내에서 발견되는 분배상 동사들은 접두사와 결합하여 파생되며, 동작이 일반적으로 일련의 변화성(proměnná; variable)을 갖는 술부로써 생각하면 된다. 다회성 vs. 비다회성 대립은 현실성(aktuálnost) vs. 비현실 성(neaktuálnost) 대립과도 연관성을 가지며 이는 동작의 존재론적 성격으 로부터 기인한 서법적 특성까지 그 관련 영역이 확대되어 진다. 상과 시제 는 각각 독립적인 문법 범주로서 긴밀하게 관련되어 있으며, 기본적으로 과 거 시제와 미래시제만을 표현하는 완료체 동사가 갖는 초시제적 현재형에 대해 고찰해 본다. 그리고 이러한 대립관계에서 완료상과 불완료상이 어떠 한 환경에서 유, 무표적인 요소가 되는지 살펴보고, 문법적인 수단을 통해 형태론적으로 이루어지는 불완료체 동사의 다회성 vs. 비다회성 대립에 비 해 현실성 vs. 비현실성 대립과 완료체 동사들의 초시제적이 갖는 의미적 측면과 관련한 실제적인 화용론적 측면과의 상호 작용에 대한 관점을 제시 해 보고자 한다.

영문 초록

The binary opposition of perfectivity and imperfectivity occupies centrality, and such distinction is deeply embedded in the Czech verbal system as aspectual pair although some kinds of Czech verbs have opposite aspectual pair as defect. Tense and aspect are closely related, each as an individual category. In discussing aspect in Czech, it is necessary to refer to the semantic distinction of iterativeness and non-iterativeness in the category of imperfective verbs including this feature in the wide sense of aspectuality in the Czech verb system. In the range of derivational morphology, imperfective iterative verbs are derived through suffixation whereas perfective iterative verbs(distributive verbs) are shown in a very limited set of verbs and derived through prefixation. Distributive verbs require plural objects in its argument, and the iterativeness of these verbs does not cause non-actuality of the action or situation. Events expressed by distributive verbs are dynamic, with the predicate of these verbs viewed as a single complete whole with its internal constituency of action. Given this viewpoint, distributive verbs are explicitly different from imperfective iterative verbs commonly provided with the opposition of actuality and non-actuality. Imperfective iterative verbs always have marked value in the category of distinction with iterativeness. In the tense system, however, they have unmarked value and never express real actuality in any tense. Situations represented by imperfective non-actual stative verbs in past tense form do not express the habitual or iterative meaning; rather, they describe the repetition of our perception on the characteristic feature that we previously knew in a whole period. Despite the close relation between tense and aspect, non-actual perfective verbs expressing general validity with its present tense form are not regarded as indigenous grammatical category; rather, this feature depends on the individual semantic interpretation of the context. Imperfective verbs with the suffix -áva- (dělavat) or -íva-(chodívat) express not only the non-actuality of the represented situation, but also the morphological means expressing habituality. Imperfective verbs with this suffix can be derived from almost all of Czech imperfective verbs. In the category of perfective verbs, however, such derivational morphology opposition distinguished by iterativness and non-iterativeness does not exist. The opposition of actuality vs. non-actuality cannot be regarded as a grammatical category, and there are no morphological forms in Czech to express such distinction; instead, it is appropriately described as a distinction related to the modal properties of the ontological nature of action, e.g., realis or irrealis of represented action in the range of epistemic modality.
