국문 초록

해외에서 한국문학의 번역이 활발하게 이뤄지도록 유도하는 일은 우리 문화를 이해시키고 널리 보급하는 사업 중에 중요한 부분이다. 한국문학이 체코에 소개되기 시작한 것은 1930년대로 거슬러 올라간다. 동화와 설화에서 비롯하여다양한장르의한국문학이체코어로번역되어왔다. 강용흘의소설『초당』은커다란반향을불러일으켰던한국문학작품의좋은예가된다. 가장 잘 알려진 한국의 대표적인 시 형태는 시조이다. 체코와 한국의역사적, 사회적상황과 맞물려한국문학의 번역의역사 또 한변천을겪게되는데, 1990년비로소남한과체코의외교관계가수립되면서 본격적인 번역 지원사업과 한국문학의 소개가 이뤄지고 있다. 이 논문에서는 체코에서의 한국문학 번역의 배경을 조사하고 구체적인 번역 현황 자료수집에 입각하여 기존 서지정보를 수정하고 분석했다. 그 과정에서 어떠한 작품과 작가들이 수용되고 있는지 양상을 통계적으로 가시화해서 제시하고수용에주요역할을담당하는한국학과, 번역가, 출판매체등을 지원함에 있어 효율적인 방안을 모색하고자 했다.

영문 초록

The translation of Korean literature should be actively undertaken in order to make our culture understood and widespread. Its introduction to the Czech Republic can be traced back to the 1930s. Starting with fairy tales and fables various genres of Korean literarature have been translated into Czech language. In this stream Kang Yong Heul's The Grass Roof became one of remarkable examples and created a longstanding sensation among Czech readers. The best-known Korean poetic form was Sijo. Since then, the translation projects of Korean literature have undergone some changes in league with the historical and social environments of the Czech Republic(former Czechoslovakia) and Korea. With the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Korea and the Czech Republic, full-scale subsidiary projects for the introduction to and translation of Korean literature made fresh start. This paper is intended to investigate the background of the translation of Korean literature and to analyze and revise the existing bibliographical information based on the current status of its translation work. Statistical data regarding the trend of well-received literary works and writers are provided. Also, attempts are made to find ways to effectively assist the Korean Studies department, translators and publishers in the Czech Republic that play major roles in the dissemination of Korean literature.
