유아교사의 사기(士氣) 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사 사기의 중요성을 인식하고, 근무기관의 설립유형과 근무환경에 따른 유아교사의 사기를 살펴보고, 유아교사들의 사기를 진작시킬 수 있는 방안을 논의하고자 수행되었다. 연구의 수행을 위해 전국의 유아교육기관 및 보육시설에 재직 중인 교사 2,000명을 대상으로 사기측정 척도와 사기진작방안을 위한 자유기술란이 포함된 설문지를 배부하였으며, 이 중 수집된 1,118부가 최종 분석 자료로 선정되었다. 연구결과 첫째, 유아교육기관의 설립유형에 따라 유아교사의 사기는 차이가 있으며, 국․공립유치원, 사립유치원, 민간․가정어린이집, 국․공립어린이집 순으로, 국․공립유치원이 가장 높고, 국․공립어린이집이 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 근무환경에 따라서는 하루 평균 근무시간과 일주일 평균 근무일수가 적을수록 유아교사의 사기가 높았으며, 또한 교사의 연봉이 높을수록 대체적으로 유아교사의 사기는 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과는 유아교사의 사기진작을 위한 정책수립 및 후속연구를 위한 자료로서 가치가 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the morale of early childhood educators . To conduct this research, a survey was distributed to teachers who worked in national, public, private kindergartens and day care centers. This survey asked participants to rate the morale of early childhood educators. One thousand and one hundred eighteen early childhood educators responded to the survey questionnaire. The results of the present study were as follows. First, in terms of institution type, the study revealed that educators from national or public kindergartens rate higher in morale than those from other institutions, such as national or public day care centers. Second, in terms of work schedule, weekly working days and daily working hours were found to be related to the teachers' overall morale. And finally, in terms of salary, the study found that teachers with higher salaries rated higher in morale than those with lower salaries. Some suggestions for future study were made in the main context.
