재일 디아스포라 시인 강순 연구

국문 초록

이 논문은 재일 디아스포라 시인 강순을 연구한 것이다. 강순은 해방 이후 허남기, 남시우 등과 함께 재일 디아스포라 시문학의 형성기를 주도한 시인이다. 그는 해방 이후 총련 산하 문예동을 중심으로 활동하다가 조직의 이념적 폐쇄성에 반발해 문예동을 탈퇴하고 남한과 북한 양쪽 모두와 비판적 거리를 두면서 재일 디아스포라의 사회역사적 실존을 성찰하는 데 주력하였다. 우리말로 시를 창작하면서 재일 디아스포라의 이중 언어 현실을 깊이 고민했으며, 1960-70년대 남한의 진보적 시인들의 시집을 일본어로 번역 소개함으로써 1960년대 이후 남한 시문학과 재일 디아스포라 시문학의 교섭에 일익을 담당했다. 첫 시집 󰡔강순시집󰡕은 해방 이후 재일 디아스포라의 역사적 변화과정을 고려하여 총련 결성 이전의 시와 이후의 시로 구분하여 논의하였다. 총련 결성 이전의 경우에도 해방 직후부터 남북한이 각각 단독정부를 수립(1945-1948)하기까지 시의 양상과 그 이후부터 총련이 결성되기 전(1949-1954)까지 시의 모습은 일정한 차이가 있는데, 전자가 해방이 되었음에도 불구하고 조국으로 귀환하지 못한 재일조선인들의 근원적 향수와 민족의 정한을 드러내는 민족적 표상의 형상화에 중점을 두었다면, 후자는 해방이 분단으로 고착화되어버린 현실에 대한 비판과 총련계 재일 지식인으로서 민족 분단의 현실을 극복하기 위한 실천적 모습을 형상화하는 데 강조점을 두었다. 그리고 총련 결성 이후(1955-1964)의 시세계는 총련의 지도자로서 북한에 대한 찬양과 남한에 대한 비판을 목적으로 하는 선전선동의 양상을 두드러지게 표방하였다. 두 번째 시집 󰡔강바람󰡕은 남북의 경직된 이데올로기에 철저하게 종속되어 극단적 대립과 갈등으로 치닫는 재일조선인 사회의 이원화에 대한 비판과, 이러한 대립과 갈등을 오히려 조장하는 반통일세력, 즉 미국, 일본과 같은 외세는 물론이거니와 민족보다 이념을 더 우선시하는 재일조선인 내부의 조직적 폐쇄성에 대한 강한 부정을 담아냈다. 이러한 그의 시의 경향은 그가 1964년 <조선신보사>를 그만두고 총련 조직을 떠난 가장 큰 이유가 된다고도 할 수 있는데, 디아스포라적 주체로서 그의 시가 궁극적으로 지향하는 바가 민족의 통일에 있었음을 명확하게 제시했음에 틀림없다. 그리고 그는 해방 이후 재일 디아스포라 시문학의 민족 정체성을 이해하는 데 있어서 모어로서의 일본어와 모국어로서의 우리말 사이에서 첨예한 갈등을 겪어온 이중 언어의 현실을 특별히 주목하였다. 또한 이러한 이중 언어의 현실조차 이데올로기적 허구성에 구속되어서는 안 된다는 문제의식으로, 재일조선인들의 실존을 규정하고 민족 정체성을 구현하는 언어의 실천적 가치에 대해 깊이 고민하였다. 그의 시가 이데올로기 중심의 󰡔강순시집󰡕의 경향에서 벗어나 재일 디아스포라의 생활상을 구체화하는 󰡔강바람󰡕의 세계로 변화된 이유도 바로 여기에 있다.

영문 초록

This study looked into the poet Kang Sun, the Korean-Japanese Diaspora. After liberation, the Korean-Japanese Diaspora poetry started from Huh nam-gi, Kang Sun, and Nam si-woo, and it was transferred to Kim si-jong, Kim Yun, Jung hwa-hum, Kim hak-ryeol, and Jung hwa-su. Kang Sun’s poetry world was based on the yearning toward his mother country, our fundamental emotion. Kang Sun's Sijip (󰡔강순시집󰡕) showed strong politics including the pro-North Korea and anti-South Korea as a Chongryun member while dealing with ordeals and pains Koreans went through. On the other hand, Kangbaram(󰡔강바람󰡕) in which he collected creative poems after leaving Chongryun, announced the work reflecting the existence of Korean-Japanese Diaspora at the neutral position neither for Chongryun nor for Mindan. His poetry announced right after making Chongryun showed socialistic realism while expressing straightly admiration for North Korea, and sneers and criticism for North Korean politics. In addition, he announced the purposeful poetry of propaganda supporting actively Chongryun’s patriotic projects. After leaving Chongryun, Kangbaram(󰡔강바람󰡕) showed critical self-reflection against the conspicuous reality of dualism of the Korean literary in Japan, and it aims to give the direction to overcome the divided nation’s reality through all-out criticism of anti-reunification forces. After liberation, the Korean-Japanese Diaspora poetry was based on historical consciousness and ideology of the Korean-Japanese who internalized their hurt of colonization and division. Therefore, most of works tried to stand for realistic nature directly showing political social issues, instead of focusing on deepening the lyricism to condense personal emotion to the indentified world. As post-nationalism, post-society discourse is currently appearing as the important issue beyond the boundary of race and nation, the perspective of ‘Diaspora’ and problem awareness have attracted attention as the effective discourse to understand and analyze the rapidly changing world. Kang Sun’s poems have an important literary meaning as the text containing such the problem awareness.
