확정과 불확정의 이중구조로 본 아동본질에 대한 탐구

국문 초록

아동의 본질은 무엇인가? 이것을 논구하는 것이 이 글이 가려는 최종 목적지이다. 그러기 위해서 본질을 논의하는 마당에 진입하기 전에 반드시 짚고 넘어가야 하는 유사개념들을 자연, 실재, 실체, 정수라는 것들로 묶어둔다. 이것들 모두는 본질을 축으로 하여 돌아가는 개념망의 유기적 소통 안에 어떤 자리-잡음이다. 그런 다음 본질의 성립조건을 보편자와 특수자의 상호 대비를 통하여 검토해 놓고 그 결과 보편 안에서 본질이 성립하는 가능근거를 되밝혀 놓는다. 이를 토대로 하여 아동본질을 새롭게 축성하는 인식틀을 부채와 부챗살의 비유로 상정한 후, 이것으로 아동본질의 근원적 존재방식임을 논리적으로 해명하는 길을 열어둔다. 이 도정에서 스피노자와 라이프니츠의 사유방식에 도움을 청하고, 이들이 보여주는 사유방식을 가지고 아동본질을 읽어내는 결정적 문제틀로 삼는다. 그것은 이런 것이다. 즉, 아동본질이란 본질이라는 실체로 보면 하나인데 실체가 드러내주는 양상으로 보면 다수라는 입장이다. 이것을 여기에다는 아동본질을 둘러싼 확정적 본질관과 불확정적 본질관의 공시적 존재가능성의 차원으로 승격시킨다. 이런 본질관은 아동본질에 대한 논의를 둘러싼 기존의 확정적 본질관과 비확정적 본질관을 동시에 해체하며 아동본질관의 새로운 시각을 제공해줄 것이다.

영문 초록

What is nature of children? David Hume said as follows in An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding: “The table, which we see, seems to diminish, as we remove farther from it: But the real table, which exists independent of us, suffers no alteration: It was, therefore, nothing but its image, which was present to the mind.” Admittedly, nature of children is not form but real. Turning to the setting of the argument, “children are Spinozaite.” This sentence is the philosophy of the hermeneutical turn described as deconstruction of previous interpretation of children. For this reason I pay attention to the double images which arises from the Nature of natures of children. The term ‘appearances’ of the Nature of natures which children have takes strong visual connotations. The defining interpretation of this premise is being implicitly contrasted with certain lens to nature of children, that is, natal determinism and environmental determinism which are placed nature of children. But the other lens in this article involves not only the defining interpretation but also the non-defining interpretation that are emerged the nature of natures. Now, we can say on nature of children: “Nowhere but everywhere.” This argument tries to drive a wedge to the objectionable argument undermined by ‘the proper stance of sight.’
