십우도와 분석심리학의 정신구조 비교

국문 초록

본 연구는 십우도의 정신구조와 분석심리학의 정신구조를 비교하여 그 유사점과 차이점을 살펴본 후 상담자에게 주는 시사점이 무엇인지 살펴보고자 했다. 십우도와 분석심리학은 인간은 겉으로 드러나는 모습 그대로가 아닌 본성을 가지고 있으며, 깨달음의 과정과 무의식의 의식화 과정을 통하여 본성에 도달하는 개인의 체험을 중시한다는 점에서 공통점이 있다. 십우도와 분석심리학의 깨달음의 과정을 비교해 볼 때 분석심리학은 과학적 관점을 유지하면서 개인이 현실세계에 적응하는 것을 목표로 하고 있고, 십우도는 종교적 관점에서 보다 높은 수준의 깨달음을 추구한다. 십우도의 깨달음과 분석심리학의 자기실현 방법을 비교해 보면 자기실현의 궁극적인 목표와 지향하는 방향은 같되, 방법론적으로 약간의 차이가 있다. 분석심리학에서 자기실현을 한 사람은 불교에서 말하는 해탈한 사람처럼 그 무엇에도 얽매이지 않고 자유로이 살아갈 수 있는 사람으로 상담에서 목표로 삼는 바람직한 인간상이자 상담자가 지향해야 할 모습이다. 분석심리학적 방법이든 명상이든, 자신의 내면을 잘 들여다보고(自心返照), 자신의 본성을 깨달아(見性成佛), 성숙한 태도로 상담에 임하게 될 때 내담자를 보다 건강하게 도울 수 있다.

영문 초록

In this study, the researcher tried to compare psychological structure of Ten Ox -herding Pictures in Zen Buddhism with Jung's Analytical Psychology. This study will show us how to be mature as a good counselor through the methods of Zen and analysis. Ten Ox-herding Pictures shows the stages of enlightenment from the first to the last and Analytical Psychology shows the process of self realization. Ten Ox-herding Pictures shows us that everyone has probability to be a Buddha through Zen meditation and Analytical Psychology says that everyone has the instinct to realize the Self through awareness of the unconsciousness. Both theories focus on not the doctrines or words but the individual experience of enlightenment, and pursue the ideal man : a Buddha in Ten Ox-herding Pictures and Self-Realized Man in Analytical Psychology. The goal of Analytical Psychology stays on reality and wholeness not perfection or religion because it is based on science. On the other hand, Ten Ox-herding Pictures seeks the divine nature or the nature of Buddha because it starts from religion. Therefore, the level of enlightenment is different from each other. Ten Ox-herding Pictures uses only the method of Zen meditation and need not any tutors to teach how to enlighten, but Analytical Psychology requires analyst to help clients understand their dreams or drawings, and realize the unconsciousness through active meditation. In conclusion, both theories have many in common in terms of their goals except a couple of methods of self realization. we will be able to help our clients a lot better and we can probably prevent a variety of problems as a counselor by checking the level of his self discipline with the methods of Analytical Psychology. And if we meditate our inner minds and realize our real self, we would be able to meet our clients without any counter -transference or projection and help them just by staying with them without doing something.
